Igor Stravinsky composed the score to Le Baiser de la Fée, based on Hans Christian Andersens tale, The Ice Maiden. as an homage to Tchaikovsky. It was first produced in 1937, with choreography by George Balanchine. This 1990 film version was choreographed by Natalia Kasatkina and Vladimir Vasiliev, and stars the world-renowned dancer Vladimir Malakhov.

Vladimir is such an amazing, expressive dancer. He and Nikolai Tsiskaridze, both students of Piotr Pestov at Bolshoy Academy are my favorite dancers. Both dance with their soul and get inside the characters they portray. Both great people.

Stravinsky as a young composer has always been a great fan of Tchaikovsky. In this Music he really had fun.
i dont think its a problem that malakhov has such an... unusual face- it makes him look distinctive

Malakhov with dark hair looks even more female than in when he has dyed his hair blonde. No, he can not compete with Nurejew in looks but definitely in charms and he has an enchanting smile and no one can bash the eyelashes better than him :)
