Ma'am this is the first video I saw in the playlist (came from YT Search). I was going through a paid course in Udemy, Android 14 Development Course by Denis Panjuta. Honestly, you showed how to exactly find solutions step by step to the problems we encounter while creating a app from scratch unlike the paid courses who start their recording after setting up the requirements. For those who haven't worked with API before: without the JSON to Kotlin Extension , It was my nightmere. To find the file, restructure it with formatter, finding out variables...etc. I have wasted 10+h only for the 1h video and then left the development. I learned it today. It will help me resuming the development course. Lastly, Thank You Saumya Ma'am for the video, and for keeping it Raw. You gained one Fan today.
I am beginner in android development from Pakistan. and watched many tutorials of different utubers. but the way u explain everything, made my subscription list one. and that's only Saumya Singh.
1 - Add Retrofit and JSON Dependncy 2 - Create JSON to Kotlin Data class file(Pojo Class) 3 - Creating API Call interface 4 - Using Retrofit in MainActivity.
Mane bhot sari videos dekhi api integration ki app me lekin kisi ki samjh nhi aai , lekin aapki Puri video smjh aai , so mam request h apse ki jo tough topics h app development k vo bhi aap aese hi samjhaye videos bana kr , love you man😊
Understood mam , But mam i've watched other developer they use singleton pattern while using Ratrofit or volley api , Can you plz make tutorial for this !!! Just the use Singleton pattern and mam one more thing in this tutorial you used ratrofit for GET mathod for fetching the data from api , We want the tutorial for the POST data method like u made recycler view to show item list , What if we select that item it will show the discription of that item in that case we have to use POST method . Plzz bring tutorial for this mam !!!
Singleton pattern is useful when you need only one instance there are several ways to get this like you can use applications level class or dependency injection you will learn all these things when you will get some experiences in Android field. There are some response in api like GET, POST and PUT GET when we need to fetch the data from api which is already present in backend. POST when we need to send the data to backend. PUT when we need to update the data.
@@jestigamerx3723 I know bro , I've worked into that its just that i've requested mam to teach these things , So that my concept will become more clear !!! Anyways thankyou for the valuable information 😊
I have watched many Kotlin retrofit tutorial videos but in maximum videos hade made for retrieving api data and showing in recycler view. And some made CRUD operations. I see the length of your video understood that you have covered get and Post both but again same things.
If there is live api which provides live data like stock API nseindia , then how to implement in that case should be use there viewmodel and repository Or any api keys as well. If having any suggestions about the same please confirm. regards

#AskSaumya Actually I had a doubt that with growing network speed, is there any future in android development as people would prefer to use websites, and now even people resist to download apps and this would further decrease the need of an app, so can you please share your views on this
Hi Sahil, is you read the recent statistics the demand of apps is not gonna die anytime soon. The users downloading apps from google play store are rapidly increasing. they are many use cases where "common user" heavily rely on mobile apps and not webiste example whatsapp, youtube app, insta on phone, ordering apps and so much more. we techies can feel comfortable with webpages but apps that are specially designed for mobile devices , will be in demand indeed (facts)
