I do I do I do … charted much higher in the United States than in Great Britain and became a top 20 hit in 1975. Which proves that ABBA could’ve been a monster success in USA if they did a couple of tours at least but they just didn’t wanna do it. they did very well on the charts but if they did tour a couple of times, they would’ve been monsters like Elton John level.
Some great singles weren t even released in the US like Eagle/Thank you for the music, Summer night city, Gimme Gimme, One of us, The day before. Some hits didn t even reach the top 30 like Money Money Money, Chiquitita, Voulez-vous, Super Trouper... Some minor hits at the end like When all is said... They could have been bigger in the US. Anyway, for a Swedish band, they didn t score bad in this hermetic territory, on musicaly level.
Except the two "not mixed" versions you can find all the songs on the 4 CD Thank you for the music Box. The first songs are part of the "ABBA Undeleted", the last three also were realeased as a medley as a single B-side (can't tell you now which one, sorry :) )
Pick a bale of Cotton, On Top of Old Smokey and Midnight Special: This Medley was the B-Side of the Single "Summer Night City" - Released 3rd September 1978.

Why aren't all these recordings from ABBA sessions available on their website? I suspect there are many more of them in ABBA's resources.
No idea!

"Here Comes Rubie Jamie" is "Tierra Del Fuego", right? I wish I had the chance to listen to it fully, but B&B don't collaborate... 😅
Sadly, they didn't like it.
