Something to keep in mind is no matter what you do the fish won't hit. Sometimes the fish wins and sometimes the fisherman wins. Don't let it get you down if you can't get them to eat on the 8. You will sooner or later.

Excellent topwater tips, and I agree on the bomb squad flap. The only thing that caught me off guard with it was, I had to work mine a little faster than I was used to normally fishing a flap.

Yeah, they do pull a bit faster but I actually kinda like that.

Yeah, the new bombsquad baits come with the shrink tubed spreader. I don’t think the old ones did.
