Well I don’t agree with that saying because I’m a man of my word. If we had a verbal agreement I would absolutely abide by it. But we never even agreed on the price. So there was so agreement or certainty that he even wanted the bike. And there was absolutely no deal made.
@@BikesandBeards That's my impression of you Sean. That's the difference between what you ought to do, and what you have to do. But if it ever went to court, the judge would agree.

Man, people have to realize how this works. So many times I was "talking" to somebody about buying a bike and then I find something else I like better. They don't hold me to buying the first one cause we were "talking". And then of course when I've sold stuff myself 9/10 people who show interest never show up.
Wow, so much insight in this video - inside the dealer's mind......inside the owner's mind......how business works........ but my favorite is "some guys ride, other guys OWN!" Great video boys!!
Moto Giant - I've seen a few of those. ex: Suzuki GSX 1300, 3 months ownership. About 900 miles in those 3 months. A little more than a 1000$ of extras/options added in that time frame. And I saw the bike for sale. I couldn't believe, it didn't even made the first oil change! LOL :-) I guess some people have really deep pockets. ;-)

My Mom bought a Harley from someone who bought it, rode it to the gas station. Lost their balance after parking it and gently laid it on its side. No dents or scratches on the bike. After getting help picking it up, they rode it home and parked it. Never rode it again because it scared them. Had under 1000 miles on it and my mom bought it from her for 4500. Got an eight year old Vulcan 900 Custom with 8500 on it for four grand, then put 6000 miles on it touring around Europe :) Love that bike.
I called about an advertised motorcycle at a Florida dealership on a Saturday to make a deposit. the sales manager answered and said they are about to close and call back Monday morning. @@BikesandBeards it was tough. An old man told me "everyone who likes that car is dead." I lost money on it but I liked driving it for a few months. Mine had the wire wheels. People thought it was an Austin Martin. I would reply Yes, yes it is.
5:30 Many years ago, when I was just a kid, my dad and I had to drive from NYC to where he grew up in Wisconsin because his brother had passed unexpectedly. At the time, the only vehicles we owned were all work vans/trucks so he arranged a loaner car from a buddy who owned a used car business. The car he lent us was an early 60s Plymouth Valiant with a big 318 V8 shoehorned into the engine bay. Before we left the lot with it the guy told my dad, "Please take it easy with this car, it really, honestly and truly, was owned by a little old lady who only drove it to church on Sundays." That car was a rocketship. I still remember him waking me up in the middle of the night, somewhere in Indiana, to look at the speedometer, which was buried past the 120 MPH mark, as he excitedly told me, "And I still have another inch under the pedal!" My dad fell in love with that car but we couldn't afford to buy it. He was very sad the day he had to give it back to his buddy.
I can't speak about the US but I just wanted to say that in many commonwealth countries money does not have to be exchanged to form a contract. To form a contract you basically need Cause, Consideration and Consent. You only had Cause (there is a valid a reason to form a contract) and Consideration (he gets a motorbicycle, you get money) but you did not have consent from both parties. If SRK had agreed a price and payment schedule (e.g. $10k within 2 working days) they could have been said to have formed a contract however as it sounds like no such undertaking was made there was no contract. My advice is if you have to drive a long way call the dealership ahead and make an arrangement that agrees a basis for the sale to be concluded (e.g. a price and fixed payment schedule subject to...[the motorcycle being as described and pictured for example]) Just realise this binds both parties to the sale if those contingencies are met so you will be purchasing the vehicle as agreed. You will likely want this interaction recorded in case you have to refer to it later.
this is the kinda thing that separates the men from the boys. Yall take care of your customers AND your potential customers. You genuinely just want every butt on a seat. Keep it up gents.
I have a good friend who bought the Kawasaki instead of a Harley. He use to buy Harleys all the time. So, I was surprised he went with the Kawasaki. He rode it around home for a month, just trying to get acclimated. Then, he rode from home (Middle TN) towards Alaska. Alaska was his goal. He didn’t make his goal because as he rode through Canada, he realized he needed a rear tire. He stopped at several motorcycle shops looking for a tire, but realized in Canada where he was at everybody was riding Adventure Touring bikes and because the cruiser/touring bikes were so rare in that area, nobody had tires to sell him. He had to turn around before he made it to Alaska so he would have enough rubber to make it back to the last place that had his tire. Otherwise, he said his Kawasaki did EVERYTHING he could have ever wanted. He loved it and paid 1/2 of what he would have for the same thing on a Harley.
Nice vid. Personally, I will ask for a personal video. I will ask if the dealer needs a deposit or will allow a 24hr holding time for me to evaluate the product, if the say no deposit, we have a time limit. A deal can be a verbal agreement in most states . And you could be held to it. It would have to be an expressed agreement between both parties, not a negotiation. You should probably always tell buyers that your inventory moves fast and furious and the only way to hold a bike is to put a deposit down.

I just bought an Electra glide, I was originally looking at an older one, I was waiting for a check from my bank that was coming overnight, dealership wanted me to put money to hold it. That blue M109R BOSS you guys just picked up is gorgeous. Lookin forward to a video with that one.
Love watching every video. Love the honey instead of motor oil. From NY city and I'm going to come there and get a bike only because of these videos. You guys are hilarious!
Amateur Buyers. And you're educating them. That's all. it's SO good to see honest guys winning at making a living. And what's more; in the automotive industry. So cool !!! :) Fun !. Gentlemen buyers too ! :)
I dug this behind the scenes video please make more like this one
A deal can be a verbal agreement in most states . And you could be held to it. It would have to be an expressed agreement between both parties, not a negotiation. You should probably always tell buyers that your inventory moves fast and furious and the only way to hold a bike is to put a deposit down.
I’m gonna miss these times with the best team
Totally understand the "some like to ride others like to own". Got my bike super late in the season for NE Ohio at the beginning of August and put over 3000 miles on it in just over a month
I wish you guys lived closer so I could buy my next bike off of you! Vancouver BC Canada 😁🤠🏍
Why doesnt this Chanel have more subscribers?
I live in pa also and love your videos so much.
ah guys you are all amazing your videos are super my son lives in US and i intend to visit your shop when we come to visit greetings and god bless from a life long biker from Northern Ireland
Finally. Truth in bike negotiating.
Love the voyager but the fairing looks weird to me ,you guys did a great job on this video
Voyager is a wicked bike! I 've go a 2014 Nomad, love it
The connector and foam insert in the left side fairing pocket is the IPOD Adapter kit. It does not have Bluetooth. I have a 2012 Voyager and I have this for my bike.
It had a blue tooth adapter connected to the iPad adapter
PLEASE post your equipment set up for both on the bikes and also stationary.
Sean, I want to buy that Honda CT
90 you have but you have to ride it to
Georgia and we'll talk about price
when you get here...
Deal??? :-)
I really enjoy these videos :) It's kinda cool to almost be there when you are talking bikes with your customers.
What kind of supplies do you use to clean/shine up your bikes when you sell them?
local trade around me means it didn't come from the province to the east that flip rental cars and write offs haha
Lol
Glad the guy came back and probably got a nicer bike to boot! To me, Voyager is the best HD not built by HD...I call that class of bike "Notaharleys", not a slight, just an honest observation. May be in the area in a few days (depending on weather, may go to Texas instead, we'll see. Have 2 weeks to burn.). So, if you see a Ural with Georgia tags pull up, that's me... If I get up there, I promise I won't be a PITA...and won't stay long...
Ok co that be awesome
I just bought an Electra glide, I was originally looking at an older one, I was waiting for a check from my bank that was coming overnight, dealership wanted me to put money to hold it. I said no, if it’s not here in a day it’s not meant to be. (I’ve never had to put money down at my local auto dealers) An hour before my check arrived they called me and said it sold.
I showed up an hour later and bought a 6 year newer and half as many miles Electra glide for 2k more. It was meant to be that way IMO.
Reads title. *laughs in professional motorcycle thief*
😂😂😂 laughs in buyer of stolen bikes
Let me know if you find a 1982-1986 XL250 or XL600 in the Philadelphia area. I'll settle for any 80's-90's KLR, SP, XT, TW, what else am I missin?
If the guy was serious, he should of placed a deposit, that holds the bike. Deposits are refundable. You guys offer great, minimal haggling prices
Dude but that suburban had to drive her through 6" a mod to get her to CHURCH LOL
You have great prices. I'm saving up now to buy a bike this winter hopefully
Awesome !
