I've hiked around 10 volcanoes in Indonesia and the amounts of trash I find thrown around is INSANE! This is really out of control. What do you think national parks and individuals can do to reduce/fix this? I talked to many forest rangers in Kerinci, Sibayak, Batur++, and they said bird species have completely disappeared as a result of littering and deforestation.
i think it's a city habit, yeah lack of education, sometimes i dwelling to youngest people who don't understand about trash while cleaning bali's beach, you probably heard bali in crisis of trash, same like me, i ranting to those people who throw trash to nature, they didn't think it will come back to them for example cancer decease
@ I agree.. people don't see the long term effects and think that it's fine. I also think the theory that if the area around you looks dirty (e.g full of trash) you're unlikely to make the effort to keep it clean. I see adults showing their kids it is okay, so it all starts by teaching kids from a young age to be clean and not shit where you eat
Actualy you didnt Reach the Top of the mount.. About the trash.. Thats the fact and realy Bad for the enviroment but its not about the IQ, people just need more education about this..
It was foggy anyway, and seeing the insane amount of trash (batteries, piss bottles, human feces, burnt plastic/electronics) after climbing that much was disappointing. IQ rankings don't say everything, but they definitely say something. Haven't seen anything like this anywhere else and people need to do better. Really embarrassing.

You're best 👏👏👏
Keep on fire 🔥 🔥
The view from the summit of Mount Klabat is amazing, especially in the morning to see the sunrise. You can not see anything from the crater.
I’ve seen video and photos, but I still think Lokon, Mahawu, Soputan++ are better options for anyone wanting to hike in Sulawesi Utara
Sangat disayangkan sampah dimana2. Untuk para pendaki tolong jagalah kebersihan Hutan.
Indonesia punya alam sangat cantik, org2 harus mengerti bahwa itu dapat dengan mudah menghilang dan gak akan pernah kembali!
