The Pisa Cathedral (Italian: Cattedrale di Santa Maria Assunta) is a great example of Romanesque architecture .its located in the heart of Piazza dei Miracoli in Pisa, Italy. It is one of the most iconic monuments in the city . The dome of the cathedral,(Duomo di Pisa) added later, and is notable for its elliptical shape, which contrasts with the typical round domes seen in many other Romanesque churches.
