There are many tellings of the Story of Arachne, and yes, in many of them her weavings were insulting to the Gods, especially Athena. Since we've yet to see the Goddess of Wisdom in Hades II, we will have to speculate on which version of the Story exists here. I am so happy to finally see the Aspect of Pan! I love the tracking Knives, can't wait for the Underworld run! So far I’ve yet to see evidence about Arachne’s work being offensive but I’d like to have that confirmation from supergiants. It seems you don't know this yet, but when you use Bath Salt or Lures not only are you getting a cutscene and a heart from the Hades characters but you also fast forward 12-16 encounters in the Crossroads meaning that whatever plant you planted before the cutscene will grow 12-16 encounters after the cutscene. This also works for Charon delivery by the river. Hope this helps

But I do feel like sometimes (very rarely) it's to the detriment of the characters. There's so many myths and versions of Zeus, it's impossible to make a design that represents all of his facets, and I think his design is incredible here... He does feel a bit boring sometimes tho Yeah I really hope we get more on Narcissus and Echo, specially Echo tbh. Nah, I'll tell you, I like it. This story feels bolder than the last. However, I thought Chronos would have a point to his doings. And ig he does! But they're just symptoms of his plain vengeance. The rid of the Fates meddling other's lives and the "Golden Age" for mortals was rather insincere. But that's fine. Story has our npcs calling out the gods which is fun.

Yeah I know they have to condense the actual irl versions of the myths to something more manageable. But I do feel like sometimes (very rarely) it's to the detriment of the characters. There's so many myths and versions of Zeus, it's impossible to make a design that represents all of his facets, and I think his design is incredible here... He does feel a bit boring sometimes tho
Yeah I really hope we get more on Narcissus and Echo, specially Echo tbh. I know her whole deal is not having a voice and all, but she feels really passive in her own story so far
I also hope we get more on Chronos' motivations! He could be such an interesting character...

Since Than is not here anymore, I guess whoever dies is taken by the Styx. I read in the wiki, that he stood in front of the river, to "observe his rival", so that's how people are still dying. Might be wrong.
14:49 in some versions, being turned into a spider wasn't punishment outright. Athena after seeing the offensive tapestry Arachne wove, got incredibly mad and hit her on the head repeatedly with a spindle while berating her. Arachne, ashamed, committed suicide and the goddess then revived her as a spider, so that she may weave still. Clearly this doesn't seem to be the version they chose for this, but I like to play devil's advocate.

We have seen at least twice that if everything goes back to how it was, mortalkind would suffer greatly, we know Eris would be smothered again by authorities, we know Arachne would be more miserable than ever, and Heracles? His story is still incomplete, for all I can tell. So... what is it we really want? On one hand, we lost out family because of Chronos, on the other, if Olympus wins, so many might suffer. It's not easy.

So actually, I learned the suicide Arachne version fairly recently! The Testing days. Very interesting take of Athena. I highly doubt it myself, but worth considering! All we need is literally a sentence from Athena herself. I love me a good devil's advocate ^

Hercules seeems, to still be undergoing his labors? interestingly enough. I do like where this story is going. Chaos hints if Chronos can't die, perhaps persuasion is the solution. I would be nice if we could move forward mending mortal suffering and past injustices such as Arachne and Dora. (No mention of Prometheus)
But if that were the case, why have an Incantation that would stop Chronos from coming back? meaning, persuasion or bettering ourselves may not be the solution?
