I would put a borla custom sound for each high performance car that mimics the exact sound of them ie a sound clip of a 350 if it’s a ford product as standard ,and add 3 settings to each quiet, street and race,to match the engine modes, take the guess work out .
Well I guess this is where the future takes us. Your new electric car...for the safety reasons (first) needs to make a bit of noise so others can notice you. But...as this gets into the hands of Company Marketing reps and Tuners...well...the safety sound (can't really call it an exhaust note here) is going to become a 6 speed Ferrari uploaded for a EV Honda. Maybe we could upload some Beethoven to soothe over (and those around us) our stress levels while driving. It will be interesting to pull up to a stop light on a 3 lane road and enjoy 2 other cars listening preferences. I assume State law will dictate dB volume levels. Brave new world.
Not sure where you live, but the future you implied is already a reality. There's already loud cars with popcorn tunes, loud stereos, and all manner of people that don't care about the dB level or the legal ramifications. We don't need to wait for it to be on every electric vehicle before it is a problem. Also, Tesla already tried to have a "BoomBox" feature by which car owners could select their own sounds, which the NHTSA issued a recall (or guidance) that their mandate that vehicles produce a sound did not include allowing an owner to select their own sound (essentially sounds must be mandated by NHTSA and the automaker only - probably with approval by the NHTSA)
I may sound crazy for this but I find it actually pretty cool how you can make it any sound you want and I get it's a speaker or whatever but the product is cool and it gives everyone a sound so I don't have to listen to people or the road
Great Video, great product, top presentation although I can sense how tired David must be from repeating all of this hundreds if not thousands of times per day. Probably a big interactive screen plus a second screen presenting all of this would be a good idea
Great job Borla! I hate EV's and will hold out as long as possible before buying one, but at least with a mod like this I can still have a nice ICE sound.
The idea is to bring vehicles out of the dinosaur era and yet here we are emulating nonsense. Imagine if somebody installed a steam power emulator on here muscle car. 😅
This is an example of legacy car accessory makers trying to stay relevant in the EV era. As a former Mustang GT owner, I understand the V8 sound, but this product really sounds like sadness to me. Like a 40 year old dude that never left the high school mindset.
🙄I bought Borla for my old Chevelle, however, this is just ridiculous. If i had a gun to my head and had to buy an electric car... that's what it would take for me to buy one.. I certainly wouldn't be adding anything like this to it. Listening to this is like being at a comedy show. it's hilarious! If i ever see one going down the street I think that I'd wet my pants from laughter!
How utterly STUPID!!!!!!!!!!!! An already to heavy car, that batterys are added to to make it even weigh more, now add electronic weight. To all you "vroom vroom People. Just make the noise inside the car by yourself, just say VROOM VROOM!!!!!!
I mean on one hand, it could sound canned this week, canned and boosted next week, stock the week following, etc and that’s kinda dope.
How long will the speakers last I wonder
How to get one?
For people who have sex with their clothes on!
Do they make this exhaust sound system for Tesla cybertruck? And if so do they have a tumbler batmobile sound effect?!😮

Sounds better than Dodges Challenger anyway.
You mean the Daytona ev? Yeah it sucks
Yeah, maybe if you're "challenged" mentally. 😂

I'd like an option so my car could sound like the Jetson's flying car.
Any updates on 2023 Mach e GT performance
I need one for my Lightning!!!
It would sound beefy!
Sweet
When can I get one for my Mach e GT performance and my wife’s 150 lightning

David Borla is handsome
Sorry, it is like a kid putting playing cards on bike spokes. too fake.

This is exactly what people wanted right they wanted an ev to sound like an ice model?
🤦🏻♂️
