- This is a now-rare 12-inch single that got a lot of local airplay, in different forms. Charivari was the name of a local dance club, itself named after a line of trendy clothing stores; "Sharevari" was the altered name given to the song to avoid trademark issues. "Skitso" was the track that received a lot of local airplay on WLBS (102.7 FM, Mt. Clemens, MI). This Canadian-pressed record on the Quality/RFC label is considered to be one of the earliest examples of the Detroit techno style, and fetches a considerable sum today. (I paid $3.99 for this record at our local Harmony House when I purchased it in 1978!)
As always, this is the complete 12-inch single. Side B contains a slightly longer version of "Skitso" and an instrumental version of "Sharevari." I left a bit of a gap in the file to indicate the side change.
