I like this quite a bit, but, for my personal lifestyle I would have to take the space in the laundry room into the master bath and add closet space in the bedroom. I would simply move everything down to the left, put a door in the bedroom to the bath and add another closet on the right side.

I'd swap the places for the back bedroom and the kitchen, and then make the kitchen & den one big open room. That would be darn near perfect.

There is only one window in the kitchen. I’d rearrange the layout of the kitchen/dining by switching them and moving the door to the laundry. This way there can be more windows on the back walls where the table could be placed.

Not the open concept we want, but not horrible. Instead of a fireplace, could a wood stove be put in more centrally near the orange sofa?
I like the separation in the bedrooms and a master bath in the master bedroom works just as well right outside the master. Kitchen, living, & dining spaces are good. Is the laundry a mud room too? That could have been a bit wider, room for a separate washer & dryer, a chest freezer and storage spaces.

Woodstoves provide some backup heat when the power goes off. Fireplaces really don't.

I love this home. However, I'd remove that door that enters into the kitchen from the outside, add in a window instead. You have the one doorway from the laundry room.

Love it! I still think there is no reason for 2 bathrooms in a tiny space. It's space that could make the laundry room different and then ad windows. I really like the kitchen dinner.

This plan includes the basics. The kitchen has plenty of cabinets so that a pantry isn't vital. The laundry annex could be shortened a bit, and it should have a couple of windows and even an exterior door.

@@Vera-vk9ix Some of us are old-fashioned and like to hang our laundry out to dry. That gives a special fresh-air scent to clothes, and even more important, to bedsheets. It's a scent that cannot be duplicated chemically in a dryer. Also, some of us are energy-conscious, and clothes dryers use a lot of it. Most building codes require two means of egress from any habitation, and in some homes the laundry room provides the second exit.
