Griffin yelling "STOP IT" immediately after Justin says cemetery really sent me
I did reel after that one.
Where?

Don't you just hate it when your wife brings home cursed koi?
Fucken tell me about it dude
My wiiiiiife
I know right! You think you're getting a lovely meal, then its like, aw fuck, I ate grandma's spirit fish
@@CoRLex-jh5vx LOL
who the Heck doesn’t want their beautiful wife to bring them fish tasting of the deep delved earth
“cemetery rulez” hell yeah it does
Same vibes as "Yeah I sure hope it does"
"Do you dig graves?"
"Yeah they're cool."
This person has obviously come from the sims 3 world where fishing in a graveyard is not only OK but encouraged 😂
It's a lot harder to actually survive in OKC than in The Sims though.
That’s all I could think about the first time I heard this question XD
How else you gonna catch that death fish
YES omfg when i first listened to this ep i was so confused why the brothers thought this would be wrong. like yeah some of the rarest fish live in graveyard ponds!!
She just jumped out after, what we in the biz like to call, a “Pinocchio incident”
The ATLA reference when talking about the spirit koi was choice
Literally didnt even notice but now that you mentioned it i will never unsee zhao grabbing a koi and the world going red in this
Literally perfect
YES!
I've seen this video like twelve times and never realized until now
"honEY THE SOUTH WATER TRIBE FOUND GUNS"
Oh my god 1:10 the Avatar spirit fish! I love it, and Justin’s ghostie shirt is so cute 💕
I love the koi fish!!!! They're so pretty!!!
Yes! I'm not the only one who noticed!
HOW DID I NOT NOTICE THAT WAS AN AVATAR REFERENCE!?
Winter Brie they probably would make tasty fish and chips 😏
Was just about to comment this! So glad others appreciate it!
"they don't stock these ponds with game fish" They may not but I've heard ducks will bring in wild fish eggs stuck to their feathers so if there's ducks, there's a possibility of game fish.
Anyway lovely animatic as always. I love the graveyard fishing lesbian.
some fish eggs can also survive a trip through a bird's digestive system.. so if there's birds, around a body of water, odds are that there's fish too ^^'
legit thought you were about to talk about Duck Newton
This is such a cheerful fact & I love it. Thank you for sharing 🤗
I know ducks do some fowl things, but what could they possibly be doing to get covered in roe?
@@aarons9961 excellent pun. For an answer though, Some fish lay eggs on plants. When the duck dives, they might brush against them. Other fish lay in small nests in the sand. The ducks may dive to eat them, and get some stuck in the process.
oh my gosh, the fishing character just looks like me. i was the graveyard fishing lesbian all along
I have so many questions
Wait, is Graveyard Fishing Lesbian a real subclass?
@@SpeakingJargon ideally, yes
you are a lesbian legend, i hope you catch a great graveyard koi with your next cast (i know nothing about fishing)
@@fifteefoolish4879 to be clear, im not actually the person, the character just looks like me
Youd be surprised how many game fish end up in places where they really shouldn't be, one good flood and theres bluegills by gam gams tombstone
This is delightfully spooky. I love the Avatar reference paired with Question Asker's evil red glow as she contemplates devouring the spirits of the ancestors. I also love the laser eyes on Fun-eral Woman as she comes to get her. Very nice, thank you!
The red glow is actually part of the Avatar reference! The world went red after one of the fish spirits were taken out
I am Zhao the Fisher! I am the Moon Ghost-Fryer. I will capture the Avatar!
“My last graveyard lesbian was a fish.”
I grew up in Oklahoma City from birth. Spent time in graveyards living my best goth boy fantasy and let me tell you friends. I *never* saw a single pond in one of our graveyards, so this question is absolutely baffling. Also we have a huge lake stocked with fish in the middle of the city, which people are encouraged to fish in?!?! Who is this man?!?!?!
right??? like there are so many goddamn lakes here just pick one dog
I spent time looking for cemeteries that have ponds big enough to fish is in it in OKC and the only one is Resthaven Funeral Home on 104th Street between Western and Walker. There are two ponds on the south side of the cemetery that have housing additions built around them so they are obviously large enough to fish in. I know this because my grandparents are buried there. And no, you are not allowed to fish in them. Also, this cemetery has NO tombstones, so you can't put your beer on one while you fish.
@@SydMakesStuff me too. Arlington memory gardens has 3 ponds just outside the property it could be that one. technically your allowed to fish there and if theres not a fence around the cemetary its possible you could assume the pond is part of the grounds
here's the thing that bugs me
you wouldn't want a pond in a cemetery because if it floods or shifts it would disturb or even damage the graves... usually cemetery grounds are on hills for that exact reason
There’s actually a cemetery in my town that has a massive pond and they host a fishing competition every year. It feels slightly weird but hey, they gotta weed out the bullhead population
Yeah fishing is done in my local cemetery pond too. I guess the best thing to do would be to find the grounds keeper and ask them if it's ok to fish.
Honestly graveyards don't bother me. I would totally fish in one if I thought no one would come tell me off.
@@SamJ.J. I think it’s less that it’s creepy and more that families go there to mourn
@@DeathnoteBB I might be biased cause I live in a small rural town and graveyards almost never have foot traffic.
The only convincing line in the entire bit was "These are for the ghosts to catch" because now I'd just feel like a jerk for stealing their fish.
Love the atla reference at 1:13 😂
Same I saw it and I just smiled so big!
Wow I didn't realize general Zhao was just really into fishing
Well he does literally say "We're going fishing" really dramatically...
he's just very passionate about his big game spirit koi yknow
That's *admiral* zhao
I mean he went fishing in the middle of an invasion, so clearly he has his priorities straight.
He found a way to make his hobby into a career
Oh shit! Benefits of binging via the animatics playlist
Oh wait is this for your patreon?
Now I feel like a dick im sorry.
Its so good tho!!
no you’re good haha!
wait I’m confused is it unlisted? i got the notification for it-
@@annoyingloudmicrowaveculti4373 i guess it was unlisted before but Bryce found it in a playlist

Though like, what if someone's grave specifically was meant for fishing. Like someone who's passion was fishing, they had the cash to get a small fish pond set up, and they just wanted to rest peacefully right next to a pond where their loved ones or anyone who loves the craft can fish. Like that's the only scenario I'd think this is okay and its fully plausible to happen since weird gravesite requests are really common
That's a pretty ostentatious grave to have a whole pond worth of land dedicated to it, so one would hope there would be a classy dedication plaque saying something about sharing the love of fishing with the community or something.
They would need to be pretty rich to make that happen
And I think dedicating a pre-existing pond to them would make more sense than making a new onr
Also, there'd likely be signage and/or plaques denoting the pond as such. Because otherwise, most people would not even think of fishing there to begin with. Because most people arent this questioner. XP
Well, I know what I'm making a fund for now
Why would that need to be at the actual gravesite though?
We have a few things like this in my community. We've got a memorial dog-park, a memorial disk golf course, and a memorial hiking trail. At no point in the planning of any of them did anybody say "You know what would improve this disc golf course? The knowledge that Frank's rotting corpse is mere feet away. It'll really cheer up Frank's non disc-golfer family when they try to visit his grave and have to dodge errant frisbees thrown by a mildly buzzed 30 something in cargo shorts."
0:23 I always love how Griffin is very immediately done as soon as he hears "Cemetery"
The spooky part is he seems done almost BEFORE the word even comes out.
The spooky delight of the sudden shift from sunny fishing hole to ~cemetery fishing hole~
The immediate “STOP IT” is so jarring but hilarious that my body tensed up
Groundskeeper: "This is a man-made water feature for the cemetary. We don't stock this pond with fish."
Fishermen: "...Then where'd all these fish come from?"
Ghosts: "What a tweest!"
Is that the ghost of Magic Brian
@@eebiestdeeber Only if they're Spider-Fish. ...So yeah, probably.
I read the groundskeeper in Justin’s voice, the fisherman as Griffin, and the ghosts as Travis. 😂
*sixth sense voice* I see dead fish.
you're the best MbMbaM animator
0:22
sSTOp iT!!!
I died. One minute in and I was already killed by Griffin. I've replayed for that sound like 10 times already.
My wife and I got married at a small chapel, outdoors, down by a lake. We later learned that her grandfather had spent a large part of the ceremony watching someone fishing out of their boat on the lake behind us. 🤣
My god, its her
if youve ever wondered about the event that caused someone to put up a weirdly specific sign, these are the people that cause that
I’d truly like to understand how “choice” this fishing spot is to genuinely think for a moment that it would be ok to fish in it.
I think it partially depends on how big of a pond we’re talking. Is this a big natural lake kind of pond or just a water feature?
Oklahoma "choice" is a non inspiring prospect. Or maybe it just means your buddy can throw a natural light can across it so no one has to walk.
Just tell anyone that tells you to leave, that you’re a ghost. Problem solved. When their back is turned, book it behind a tree.
Now YOU are the ghost of the cemetery pond 👻
Please. That groundskeeper isn't going near the new "Shadow Fisher" that haunts the pond
But you're also not catching any fish
These are for the ghosts to catch... you know that
Graveyard groundskeeper: You can’t fish here!
Fisherwoman: well why do you think I asked for this pond in my will?
I've lived next to a cemetery for the majority of my life and lemme tell ya, there are a *lot* of people that fish in the pond there. It's even clearly posted for them NOT to fish there but it stops no one.
"Ah cemetery koi. My favorite!"
I love it when someone sends in a question where they're kind of an asshole, and the brothers end up tearing into the question asker. Would love to see how this person reacted when they listened to the episode.
so many great artistic choices in this, lesbian fishing in the graveyard, peppy pig.. absolute *chefs kiss*
I live in Oklahoma and I know the exact fishing hole they are talking about. The cemetery is large and there are a few mausoleums in there too. I’d fish there 🤷🏽♀️
OK JUSTIN YOU CAN'T JUST LEAVE A CONCEPT LIKE "we stock the pond with fish for the ghosts to catch" FALLOW LIKE THAT
IT HAS TO BE EXPLORED
We did this at a cemetery my brother worked at. Small pan fish in there, so we mostly did catch and release with our nephews. Also we would do this after hours with permission.
now I'm just desperate to be a fly on the wall in that permission-asking session
ok but i feel like it'd be ok if you dressed up like the grim reaper and if anyone asks what ur doing you can be like "fishing for souls"
I love how over time the brothers' eyes just keep getting bigger.
God my opinions on this question change completely if the asker is a hot fishing lesbian vs some dude.
I dont care where she fishes so long as she shares it with me 😳
The avatar reference killed me. This is a great animatic! I love the little character you created for the fishing person.
When I die I want my headstone to be a bench on the side of a pond with a statue of me fishing on one side so people can go fishing with me!
The moon and ocean spirits... I'm dying laughing
it's a small detail, but i really appreciate you using a girl as the character because girls like fishing too but usually only boys are shown :)
I really have to commend your design, the moment I saw that character I immediately knew that they were a lesbian
You've so perfectly distilled the brothers that I can only see your versions of them in my head when listening to them.
This is not a bad thing, it is a great thing. Especially Justin laughing.
2:14 I haven't seen the profit meme in so long but I'm happy to see it again.
I go to okc regularly and this person makes it seem like there’s just holes in the middle of the road filled with fish. I’m here to confirm this is not true and I REALLY want to know where all the spots are this person is apparently finding.
How could they talk about it that long without considering that, by killing the cemetery fish, OP would be creating ghost fish for the cemetery ghosts to catch. Now Peppy Pep can hit the lake like he used to. Just without a jet ski this time.
My favorite part of this question will always be that the person seems to think the possibility of hauntings is the main concern
Me seeing "FIN." pop up at the end of the video: "Ahaha, like a fish!"
The fact that two big mbambm animators chose the exact same audio really speaks to the quality of this bit
1:04 GAY RIGHTS LET'S GOOOOO!
Makes you question what are the other "good fishing holes" this person thinks are acceptable, since this is what it needs to come to for them to start asking "is this okay?"
Strangely enough there is a cemetery where I live and it has a pond that they put fish in for people to catch. It's more like a park honestly. There's are families that like to go there to feed the ducks. There's even a church where people go and get married. I guess they want to try to make it a nice relaxing and friendly environment to help those who are grieving feel more at peace.
FIN.
"Oh I get it."
"Cause he's a fish."
Thank you for that lovely ATLA reference and for always making Justin dress in appropriately-themed touristy shirts, little details like that are what I love most about your animations
oh ur so right op this question DOES have incredible lesbian energy
I love that they added Travis’s nail polish, and how Justin’s shirt pattern changes depending on the topic, and I love griffins shirts, they suit him so well
this question was definitely wild to me, because there is ABSOLUTELY fishing at my local cemetery, people take their kids to fish there every day! it never... occurred to me... that its weird...
As someone who has a job like this, I could not IMAGINE making unsanctioned stops like that
this question asker is just zhao in disguise
The ATLA ref and the hand-held cam pan over the shoulder of the widow absolutely make this.
If I was in a cemetery and I saw a figure fishing my first thought would be “oh, there’s the ghost of a fisher.” And then back the fuck away.
i like that they just ignore that it very well could be a natural pond with normal fish in it
I like the idea of cemetary rules being put on gravestones tho. Like if it's not on a grave stone, then its fair game
Snatched the fucking moon spirit, Admiral Zhao style. Chef’s kiss, Geo
OH NO not the ATLA fish ;-;
2:37 How did you capture the sheer joy and passion of fishing in the simplest design, l will never get over this😆😆great job as always!!
Justin's shirt is just *Chef's Kiss*
If you're a groundkeeper and come across someone fishing in your cemetery at night, that's a ghost of someone's uncle, probably.
Loved this moment. “There are no signs saying not to fish..”- of course there aren’t!!
It’s funny, the town directly next to my hometown has a beautiful big cemetery and there is a pond in the middle that is, in fact, restocked with fish and is meant to be fished. I always viewed it as Kind of a peaceful, well intentioned thing, I guess not everyone shares that same sentiment 😂
that adorable ghost buddy at 3:20 is so huggable and good
Kinda random, but I really fuckin love the amount of diversity you include. I just love it a lot. Makes me so happy. Ty for doing these great animated clips in general, and the diversity in specific. You're the absolute tits
Personally, if I saw someone fishing in a graveyard in like the middle of the night? I'd be like "that's a ghost"
my dad used to grab fruit at the cemetery so UHHHHH
he sold cemeteru mangoes at the flea market
This is exactly what I needed during my awful swing shift today. You're one of the best animators on UA-cam, keep up the amazing work ^^
YESSS ive been excited for this one since i saw the first sneak peek of a wip on ur ig story gsjsgsjdg
AAAAA it's my favorite MBMBaM animator back at it again and this time there's AVATAR REFERENCES?¿‽
My mother’s ashes are interred at a columbarium in front of a lovely pond with a huge stone cross standing above the water. My dad and I have seen guys fishing there, and occasionally, you’ll see a bobber tangled in the trees. I feel weirder about it than my dad does. Like, it’s not even a secluded spot or a huge sprawling piece of property. Anybody who walks into that columbarium will see you right away.
Glorious
Also, 1:11 is dope
I went right from watching ask a mortician to this, similar subjects, much different tone
YT pointed me at this two years later because it finally figured out I like animation and ghost stuff so I'm late to this party but have to say I enjoyed every moment of this and I laughed so hard the dog barked along XD I think my favorite part was the scene with the wife "hey honey look cemetery koi!" and her face just like "omg what have you done" but the whole thing is brilliant from moment one.
Also like, fishing... person, you know, you can like, ask, the cemetery people, if fishing is allowed on the grounds. I imagine they'll say no out of respect for families of dead people who might feel weird seeing it when they come to mourn, particularly since if the pond is part of the grounds it's likely not a natural one and I doubt putting fish in there is high priority... but that's not a question for Miss Manners there are literal owners/people who run the place who you can ask. XD (given that it was on MBMBAM I'm sure it wasn't a serious question but even in a comedy context it just baffled me)
Oklahoman here, can confirm, Oklahoma City is the city of 1000 fishing holes.
When I listened to this, literally earlier today, my immediate thought was, "I hope geothebio animates this"
OK but the first logical response to seeing someone fishing in a cemetery (at least where I live) is, 'Oh shit, thats a ghost, either I go respectfully ask for advice or *leave* .' Also, this is a really cute video! I love it, kudos :3
I AM IN LOVE WITH THE ATLA REFRENCE AT 1:10
I wonder if Travis knew that's what people would think about when he said that line.
I live in a town with a pond known for fishing that's in a cemetery and no one has ever thought it was weird 😂
This situation feels like a quest the angler would give you in Terraria
RIP peppy pep tho 😔✌️
This is probably my fav animatic, that you've done. Love it! The ghosts are so cute ^^
The talk of fishing and cemeteries reminded me of how much I miss my grandpa.
As a person who recently moved to oklahoma city I...need to find this place
ok but imagine catching a ghost fish, that's the catch of a lifetime
This should get a nomination for best animated short
From an artist: I love how all of your little animated characters have their own styles and they're all different
the graveyard koi were adorable! loved the animation!
The Last Airbender Easter egg is fire.
Also the continued use of topic related shirt Justin wears is much appreciated.
fishing or hanging out in a cemetery should be ok. Gotta keep the ghosts company.
