sup Kenny, I got into local 46, currently working on a high rise condo downtown. I am looking to get into service though because I feel like I will learn more. I am getting a lot of cast iron experience though so thats cool. At a different company I was able to solder and it was really fun.
Hey Sun! Congratulations on getting into the 46!!!!! All the experience you’re getting is going to be wonderful for you! Keep up the great work and keep me posted on your progress!
I was asked this question in a plumbing apprenticeship interview..I'm pretty sure i blew that question. I think I will use this to answer it better next time lol
Hey kenny, what would you suggest for important starter tools for a beginning apprentice to have with him? I'm going up to visit my uncle, and he is going to take me out on the job to see first hand what he does for a day. Thanks again for your videos, keep turning them out! 👍👍👍
Thanks Tyler ! Glad to hear you’ve made a decision, best of luck brother. Check out this video for starting tools ua-cam.com/video/YPTODWRcDJk/v-deo.html
Hi Kenny, Would you know what exams a UK plumber/gas engineer would have to do in Toronto, Canada. As looking to move over, as I know it’s a pretty loaded question. Thanks :)
Hey Nathan! Thanks for reaching out. In Ontario to get your gas license you have to get your g1, g2, and g3. I’m not sure if a UK license in both plumbing and heating transfers here. From what I have heard in the past, i think you can get a temporary license, but you will have to challenge the red seal on both gas and also plumbing. I don’t have extensive knowledge on this, but I hope this helps.
Hey Kenny! I am in school right now at Algonquin College in Ottawa. Are there any certificates and extra training that I could take while in school? I am taking Mechanical Techniques - Plumbing, an 8 month course. I can't wait to finish school and start an apprenticeship. Thanks
Hey Bob! Glad to hear you’re enjoying your mechanical techniques! You can also look into a working from heights course, working in confined spaces course as well. A general first aid course might be useful as well. Hope this helps.
It takes about 6 months, but only in 2 month blocks at a time. So two months for basic, 2 months for intermediate and 2 months for advanced. Keep in mind that is in Ontario Canada.
greetings.... to be honest with you guys being a plumber it was the best thing that happen to me as a child take to being an apprentice ITS FOR THE BEST.... #theraccon #chemist #masteroftheuniverse
As an engineer i never knew how expansive the work of plumbers is. I knew that they dealt with pipes, but that's about it. Thanks for the great video
Really happy the video was useful! Thanks for watching!
