It looks like a copy of Longines calender watch
Yeah I have since heard that it may have been inspired by a Longines. Thanks for watching!
That's right, I actually have a Longines Master, it is almost an exact copy, and I bought this copy as well to compare and was quite impressed with it
Really liked this watch for the price. I've purchased two so far....I had to give my son the first one I bought because he fell in love with it as soon as he saw it. Really can't beat what you get in this watch for the price. It has it's negatives, but nothing that would make it a deal breaker for me. Thanks for the video review!!!
Thanks for sharing that - awesome to hear that your son was also into it the moment he saw it! :)
I really do think Guanqin have quite a few nice pieces in their stable, with some variety to. Yes they are not original designs, but that doesn't matter so much to me... for
You convinced me. Just ordered this model. This will make my 3rd Guanqin watch. Bought it on GearBest for $48...... Love the look of this watch!!!
I received mine almost a week ago. It is really beautifull, better than the pictures. Really looks more expensive than it is. Mine has been keeping time very well. Of course, I will have to wait months to see how well it fares, but so far so good.
Thanks for sharing that man, glad you are enjoying it. I do agree it looks more expensive than it is :)
First time viewer of the channel. I have this watch,,, Longines direct copy...I love it! Also have the Nomos Lambda copy which i would highly recommend. Came to you via Jody at Just One More Watch. He speaks highly of you and I can see why. Keep up the good work ... carry on ticking!
Hey thanks for that Peter! Jody runs a far stronger channel than mine... that must've been from one of our early collaborations on an Invicta or Orient? Glad you liked the video, thanks for chiming in! :)
These guys really make beautiful watches! And at such reasonable prices too! Tempting me severely to get one! 😉
Thx for this review dude. Appreciate it
it's manufactured by the factory that does clone of Longines Master Collection, they put on a different logo and some changes to the back and movement to sell it in the normal market.
Looks like a Longines. A very casual glance it could pass...
Perth WAtch you say “homage” i say “copy” 😉😉😉. I do like it though when you consider the price point! China rules...
It’s a pretty nice piece for the money.
Yep you could say anything you want mate... “knockoff”, “original design”, “counterfeit”. Knock yourself out 😉😉😉
Grand are the complications on this watch that is keeping me thinking about it.
Have ordered this watch but due to the virus outbreak. Don’t know if it will ship or be canceled am curious to find out . Can’t contact gearbest
Great video! This watch has been copied from Longines Master Collection L2.673.4.78.5 time piece,a really wonderful watch.Anyway, even this Ganqin is a really good one!
There's no need to spend a tons of money to get a nice time piece. There are several chinese watchmakers such as Seagull, Shanghai Watch Co., Haofa tourbillon etc.. that make so many outstanding time pieces at very affordable prices.... Just take a closer look and tell me what do you think about.. Regards 🤗🤗
just got this watch and it looks like a longines master collection thing which i really like the dersign of that watch.
.
i will rate this watch 7/10 because i just accidentally stumbled on this thing with the price tag of 20 usd (i bought this thing several days ago with the proce tag of 30 usd)
Does the moonphase function work as expected or it's just a sun and moon complication?
What?! No compass or slide rule? :) Amazing what less than a "C" note will buy and all mechanical, too.
Haha I'm sure they would've included a slide rule if it didn't detract from the dress style sensibility :)
Def looks like longines master collection using the valjoux 7751 movement.
That is a moonphase where this is a day night complication.
Yep that’s quite right... although Longines L687 is more than just a straight 7751. Among other things it’s upgraded with a column wheel escapement. Cheers!
Longines Master. Does it have a real sapphire? I've ordered Guanqins with sapphires that I think are real. No idea how they are making profit.
I now suspect it's not sapphire... I recently tested the Guanqin I still hold and they proved not to be :(
i have 4 very cheap watches three of them cost around 5$ and the forth cost 10$. my friends tell me to just save up and buy a normal watch. but i dont know what counts as a normal price. can someone tell me?
There is no universal definition for what constitutes a "normal" watch or price. Since this is coming from your friends, I'd say ask them what they mean by "normal".
Is that a good movement?
It's average I think... with variable reports on reliability. A Seiko would be better.
Hypothetical is it possible to put Miyota 8215 or NH35/36 to this case? I love how the dial looks but I don't really need all this kinda fake complications :)
It's a pity the 6 o'clock sub-dial is mis-marked as a 12 hour dial.
Probably deliberate (although deceptive), as this is a copy of the Longines Master Collection Moonphase, where the 6 o'clock dial also serves as the 12 hour totaliser for the chronograph function.
In case no one responded, his is a copy of the Longines Master Collection chronograph ref #.L2.673.4.78.3
Thanks for that - yes indeed someone else has mentioned that model, and you're right! :)
It looks like a homage of the Aeromatic 1912 Multi-Calendar Automatic Watch. By the way the year goes up to 2024 (not 2028 as you said) and you can clearly see it @ 2:04. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the comment - and yes it does indeed look somewhat like the Aeromatic! Good observation about the year however you made a false assumption that the watchmaker does not update the year disc. Mine goes from 2017-2028... what this tells us is that the year disc accommodates 12 years. Cheers, Ivan.
Hello, can you tell me what clockwork designation? thank you
Really? Well if it’s not in the video or the description then there isn’t one.
nice one for the money, it's a shame the year window!!
Thanks for that - yeah that's true... maybe the company figures this watch won't last that long!!?
Having problems connecting the strap into the pin..i finally figured it out..lol
Really? I didn't have any issues myself... is yours a different type of buckle/clasp?
Does it need winding?
@@PerthWAtch Thanks a lot. I just wanted to confirm, as at some places, it is referred to as automatic and mechanical both (like on Aliexpress), it is written "Automatic mechanical"
Mechanical means it's driven by gears and springs, no battery.
Automatic means it's self winding - usually with movement from a rotor, and usually this refers to mechanical watches.
So automatic and mechanical are related but aren't the same thing.
This is a knock off of a Longines Master Collection moonphase. I got mine for around $2500 AUD used and even though this watch looks similar the complications seem pretty useless in comparison
Yeah you're right about that - some others have pointed this out also in comments here. Thank you!
Yep this is a useless turd from Guanqin, looks fine but doesn't deliver at all
@@kevindehinkelai7464 "Doesn't deliver at all" its like 72AUD what do you want it to deliver? Does more than a Seiko 5 or an Orient Tri-Star. Also what does useless turd mean in this case? The watch works and tells the time, it also tells you the date and whether or not it's AM or PM so tell me whats missing.
I was convinced, I’ve bought 2 of them. Black one and white one! But after 10 days of wearing it. I’ve lost an indicator and a part of glue is moving inside for both!!! Really too cheap products. Don’t waste you money with this.
Oh wow that's a bit alarming! Thanks for that feedback. You gonna activate PayPal buyer protection??
I’ve bought them on GearBest Website. And send the them a message this day. Wait and see.
All the best... from other reports I think you might have to resort to PayPal intervention...
I wouldn't call a watch that mixed up a 24 hours marking to a 12 hours one a decently executed watch :)
Depends on your perspective... check out Longines L2.673.4, clearly this watch takes heavily from that, in which case the number markings may be wholly intentional. In any case, execution in terms of quality and finish is indeed decent.
Looks nice but the pointless and mislabeled complications are a big turn off for me.
I'll pay twice the price or more if they don't mislabeled and everything was functional
If it did everything like the Longines it homages, it would be considerably more than 2x the price
It mimic longines master collection. At it's price point. I felt scammed by Longines.
Yes it does ;)
To be fair though it has no where near the chops of the Longines it mimics!
Looks like A Langhe & Söhne
I thought for a second one of the perpetual calendars but actually those have 4 dials not 3 whoops
Good review. Very useful. Saved me some money. :-/
Should clarify it is indeed all the fake markings and useless hand that disqualify it. I have a gj16034 that I like VERY much. I just wish China would make CHINESE watches and give the fake crap a pass. Seiko's perpetual calendar has much the same look, a functioning chronometer, a functioning calendar for the next century and only costs $30 more than this on Joma.
Sure it's a quartz (with a hardlex...), but it's an honest quartz and a cool looking watch. Beats this, hands down, every day, all day.
I will happily buy more Guanqin products but will choose from those that don't pretend to be something they're not.
Thanks for that bro - good comment about the false dials and functions, which I agree with. Especially bad are watches that advertise open heart movements as "tourbillons" I think, but this is much in the same pattern.
Which Seiko perpetual calendar is that one? I'd like to take a look :)
I was wrong two ways about the price. I thought this was a $90 watch, it's only $60 right now, and I thought the Seiko was $120. It's $130 currently, $140 for the black. www.jomashop.com/seiko-watch-spc131.html?nosto=productpage-nosto-1&refSrc=SE-SPC133
I standby the sentiment however: I'd rather buy one of those than wear what I think amounts to costume jewelry. I hope I don't aound snobbish, I'm really not. I just don't like artificial pretty much anything. I own a Guanqin and a Cadisen, and I don't just enjoy them "for what they are" I consider them a favorble part of my collection.
I want to see more Chinese originals. They have a good thing going here buying NH35-38s and wrapping them with quality materials. They just need to dust off some design skills. With places like GearBest and AliExpress, they don't have to confine themselves to forgeries and make-believe.
Thanks for the detailed response! I actually agree with your sentiments... you have a respect for Chinese watches where appropriate, so I don't think that's snobbish at all. Quite the opposite in fact, you are being rather fair. Cheers, Ivan.
The Chinese come up with truly awful names, which is a pity because they're getting very good, especially 1:1 copies of the major expensive brands. I own a couple of Megir's, and I think MEGIR is one of the better efforts at naming. It doesn't immediately stand out as being a Chinese name, and therefore has a little more cred. Plus, they're pretty good watches for the price...
Haha well as a Chinese I can understand that much of this is because of the "lost during translation" when making it into English. "Crown Instruments" isn't bad, but it becomes Guanqin. My personal fav - Sewor!
Chines come up with chinese names. What do you except?Maybe that they have english name? I cannot understand this way of thinking...
I agree their names make the watch sound like a joke.. As beautiful as they are... I have a Parnis gmt. But wouldn't go around telling people the name! Someone needs to suggest some more prestigious sounding names.
Haha yeah some just cannot wear a Parnis! Here's the thing - someone almost certainly DID suggest names they thought sounded good!
The false complications have put me off this watch as does the manual year and date settings, bit of a falsey this one in every respect
Fair enough... I must say I am a bit annoyed myself at some of the "deception"!
Longines Master Collection L2.673.4.78.3 - 100% copy.
Looks good though.
Thanks for the review.
Thanks for that Anthony - haha I would say 100% that that's the model where the inspiration came from. But it's not a 100% copy ;)
Perth WAtch ;) okay a little overstated on my part, it's really really close. Nice watch that took its inspiration from the Longines Master Collection.
As always I enjoy your reviews! Keep up the good work.
Amazing review dude! I love this watch although I would not buy it...probably because of the name.
Thanks for the comment! Haha fair enough, I guess you might want a name you could pronounce easily, or that isn't confusing to others!
This watch is just trying to imitate the Longines chronograph watch with a lot of great complications on it. Add a quick glance you might actually mistake it for the real thing. The complications on this watch are absolutely mickey mouse.
The only reason I didn't buy it was because it goes up to 2028. Who knows if it will last that long, but I didn't want it just cuz of that.
I can understand that being a bit OCD myself... although when I think about it, if I have to look at my watch to find the year I have some serious issues :)
Homage ... or poor copy of Longines. Chinese can do marvelous watches such as Seagull 1963 but homages or copies are just pieces of garbage.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts... sadly many homage/copies are rather poor, although there some good ones to be had ;)
Wrong wrist mate!
Darn, is that so? But then again I've ran across quite a few cops lately yet no one has arrested me...
Badwatch, bad review. A real suckup.
Bad comment. A real tool.
Free advice for you: watch my videos before you write 😂
It is piece of shit
I bought different types
It only works 30 days
Just don’t waste your money
Thank you for your comment - sorry to hear about your bad experience. My Guanqin watches have worked for over a year now, and still going fine.

A watch that looks expensive at a great price point that you can use as an everyday watch without having to worry too much about damaging it its a win win with this one good review also
Thanks for that - agree with that perspective, a sensible consideration! :)
