The Daedalus Hammer upgrades are super nice. They can easily shape your run. Usually by the time I finish Elysium, I would have two of those upgrades and it seems like the game generally expects you to have one or two every run. Seeing how often the Daedalus Hammer upgrade kept showing up in NL's run (cause he hasn't been picking them up), it's almost as if the developers are begging him to pick up the dang upgrade xD
@@felixjackjinkam This is incorrect, you can get up to 1 hammer on the 1st two floors (Tartarus and Asphodel) and up to 1 hammer on the 2nd 2 floors (Elysium and The Temple of Styx) for a total of up to 2 per run. If you miss it, you do not miss it permanently, NL got offered the hammer twice in Tartarus, once in Asphodel, a whopping 4 times in Elysium (The game really, really wanted him to have a hammer) and once in The Temple of Styx. If you miss a hammer, there is no guarantee that it will be offered again but it seems like the longer you go without a hammer, the higher the chances are the game will offer one to you.

Even if its just a stat upgrade, its still worth taking. Which is better: 50-100% more damage on the move you spam the most (hammer), or 5-20% boost on a boon that might not be vital to your build, or a boon that might not be vital to your build? Only times I skip a hammer is if the alternative is a boon from a god that I know will have 3-4 options good to take my build online, and its not already online. Even then its only because I know skipping the first hammer causes future chambers to have increased chance of offering a hammer.

@@uriarte411 I've killed the whole second form of Hades in one greater Zeus call(hitting him myself also). It deals the most damage, upgrade it 3 times and with double strike, you can deal near 1k damage per second for 9 seconds.
NL during the minotaur fight you can dash through the pillars to make him crash into them easily. Trying to run circles around it clearly isn't working as well lol.
I don't feel it's meant with malice, but "fake lore" to me is kind of insulting (not to the Greek legends) to the writers who constructed this games narrative. Much love, eggman.
Make sure to talk and give nectar to everyone. At max level some characters will unlock summons and to get to max level you also have to talk to them. All of the summons have powerful game changing effects (especially when upgraded), and I highly recommend going for them.
So I'll give egg the benefit of the doubt... maybe he felt like all his runs recently have been too strong so he went with a let optimal build (No OP Hammer strats)
Talk to the exclamation points in the home base, they have new keepsakes for you (some give an orbital/companion)! And check the weapon upgrades screen, each one has alternate “Aspects” that modify them!
NL I am really enjoying this series!!!! I have been watching this channel for longer than my account has existed (since your ~20th Isaac episode, many many years) and I understand you have the inclination to keep content fresh! However, this game is clearly being enjoyed by many people with so many invested in each decision you make. Was super surprised he had the opportunity to pick up 5 Daedelus Hammers on this run. The most I've seen is 3. Zeus ult is decent when you have lightning effect boons.
Fiest and foremost. Last episode's "coward" was not the case. They had a special dialogue set up for ya, but you didn't bother to talk to Hades. Let's not come back to that. Here are a few tips you might wanna ultize: - Minotaur can sometimes run around a pillar which is like super annoying so the better start is to dash to the wall and then to dash INTO him. The plan is to dash over him anywas - Shildlords you just get behind and shred them, no learning patterns there. - Athena + Artemis seems to be a pretty straigt forward to victory but the arrows are not the best deal - The best one from Hermes is the quick-cast upgrade - DEDALUS IS THE BEST NEVER SKIP IT - You can change trinkets mid-run, after each boss - Overall the game is all about mashing the dash+atack combo with some excepitions. - Shield seems to be the strongest weapon - Buy death defiance 3, you can revert it for FREE if you don't like it - Save 3 diamonds for the nectar upgrade, it is great - Don't stop the series, it's rockin' also, no spoilers, give nectar to meg every time you see her. edit: Oy, should you ever mess with the "mirror can only give you x darkness worth of upgrades" preset in the pact, remember that it automatically reverts darkness spent over limit, so you have to set it back!
I've never seen that many hammers in a single run... Godammit, he didn't take any... Also, you can attack during Zeus's call, if I'm not wrong. As long as the lightning doesn't distract you, it's pretty good since if you build right, you should be able to put out more dps than an impervious call. I think it gets better the better you are at the game. Impervious calls seem more like a crutch for beginners.

Sorta? He seems to think he needs to wait to unlock aspects instead of just spending blood on them, but he HAS increased the zagreus aspect of weapons a couple times. He also seems to maybe think that he can only upgrade a certain weapon each time he goes into the room?
Yup, pom of power is only relatively good when you have a small boon pool to upgrade, as the run goes on its just a gamble of are you going to be able to upgrade a useful boon
Most of the calls are pretty meh wihtout any synergies. The Zeus one get's really good when you have things like chance to shock again, all lightning bursts happen twice, lightning causes jolt, etc.

They are! The game prioritises your first hammer over other drops but the egg managed to outdo the algorithm.
You can get up to one daedelus hammer in the first two floors, and up to one in Elysium. If you miss one, you miss it permanently.

They are the best buffs. The shops charge 200 for them. Compared to 150 for boons, 100 for poms and 50 for hearts.

Also you usually build your build around the hammer you get, so taking a hammer early is always a good idea!
Most calls you can still attack and do all of your other abilities. I think it's only Poseidon's and Are's calls that don't allow you to.
Posion dash is one of the best boons in the game you stack it up like 5 times on enemies and they melt.
I would like the quality of this run to stand as testament of how effective the hammers are

The poison call is actually extremely good, the dps is crazy because it quickly stacks the poison 5 times
