Oh, Deanna!!! Your containers are gorgeous!!! LOL about not wanting to go overboard now that the expense is something that you have to think about! I love that you are starting so many plants from seed because I’ve also discovered that it is the cheapest and most fun way to get a jillion plants! - I really love the way the orange rocket barberry matches the pot!!! That is a stunning look for it! - I’ve never started petunias from seed, and I’m really impressed with yours! - I also LOVE burgundy and chartreuse as a way to punch up the interest in the garden! It’s like installing your own light and shadow! - Yasssss! That gold urn is stunning!!! All the colors and textures AND the way the petunias are draping themselves over the edges! - You are a color master!!! - And, girl, your clematis!!! All of them! Me want!!!!!!! - Those Canterbury bells!!! Those ARE fun! So cottagey! - That bronze urn garden is EVERYTHING!!! I’m so glad that you are able to enjoy that from the deck!!! - I’m sorry that you lost your mom recently!!!!! I know that hurts!!!!! I’m so thankful that you have her garden things to use and to remember her by! - All of your coleus bring so much color to every corner of the garden! And that coleus tree is super cool! - I’m sorry that you are having to battle squirrels and rabbits! I forget in my battle with armadillos that everyone has to deal with one kind of gardening nemesis or another! - I hope the squirrels don’t eat your tomatoes! The one time that I tried to grow them down here they took a single bite out of each one as they grew ripe. It was maddening! LOL! - Your garden is so pretty with so many vignettes and spots of interest! I love it! Thank you so much for sharing it with us! And for encouraging others to grow from seed! God bless you!!! - Your friend, Rachel
Rachel, thank you so much for taking your time to watch my videos and respond! I know I don’t know you very well yet but you just seem like the sweetest most joyful Christian lady! Wish we lived closer! I would love to trade seeds and plants with you!! Your friend, Deanna
Love the color combination and plant stands! Petunias and coleus are my favorites to grow. I will be planting those belle flowers. Where did you get your plant stands?
I love that tilted pot. I am looking for one! what do you call it If I were to search on Amazon. Also I am a killer of Clematis and they are way too expensive to keep trying and killing. I am going to try one more year. I am MN zone 4. Do you put yours in ground or in container? Thank you for responding. love your videos. one more question. I have a maple tree that i have planted under with a large area of mulch. I have just tons of maple seedlings in the mulch. Do you every experience this and how do you get rid of them,. I might just have to put more mulch down.
So I looked it up and try looking up rolled rim large terra cotta round pot. Also I believe this was just a pot that I propped up in the back to make it tilt. Also look up tilted terra cotta pots. As far as the clematis I’m really not sure why mine do so well. I brought five transplanted ones from my mom’s house and they all made it. I really don’t do anything special. They are in the ground. I know you’re supposed to shade the roots. As far as the maple I had a ton of seedlings too. I just pulled a few every time I went outside
