Oh yeah, can't find good help anymore! Most days it's hard to find bad help, too.

Thank you! That's crazy to think about snow right now. We have had a pleasant spring but temps have been getting warmer the last few days. It will feel like summer here soon!

Proud of you young men. I love farming and ranching and if you only knew how many times I've prayed and asked God to help me own a ranch and run a herd of red angus and a herd of black angus with good quality Hereford bulls on the blacks. It hasn't happened for me but I suppose God has his reasons. By the way Ben you best not stay gone to long or Eric will have your job making videos he did good.

Thank you very much! It is a tough business to get into. It has taken me several years to somewhat grow in it. Still have a ways to go. Hope it works out for you one day. I think I should be back for a while now. Eric was getting too comfortable! 😂😂

Looking back, I try to figure out how we got all the same things done back in the 40s but did it manually. My Uncle Ervin would almost always have a quart or pint glass jar of moonshine. I guess that helped. It seems farming/ranching is a lot easier with all this motorized stuff.
No running water, no electricty, no indoor plumbing, heated/cooked with wood stoves, no AC but was happiest time of my life. Raised all our food. My Aunt Eva would cook scrambled eggs with hog brains. Sure was good. We were small enough that two of us could fit into one of those tin tubs for a bath. Got a lot of sex education but not from books. We would ring chickens' necks or chop head off with axe.

I enjoyed reading your response! Equipment and technology has definitely made things a lot better. Most cab tractors have AC in them, along with all kinds of other options. Much easier than back in the 40s. I didn't grow up in farming so it's a whole new world for me. I hear lots of stories though and am thankful for what we have to work with now.
