Wendy didn't say much but if you couldn't pick up on her facial expressions when he said she was fun to watch then and now, when he said he would back her till the ends of the earth, then yeah you wouldn't think it was romantic. Great acting from both. And yeah, one of the most powerful romantic scenes I've ever seen on TV.

They never really explained why Bobby had such strong devotion to Wendy... until now. Probably the reason why Lara was the green eyed monster around her, she could sense something happened between them.
Lara played herself, she was unkind, reckless and overtly ambitious. She was trying so much to be like Axe and there can only be one Axe. She lost him when she took his kids and his money just to teach him a lesson, when she did that I knew they were done. Wendy is badass but sensitive and most importantly she has proven her loyalty over and over. I'm sure they will still take us back to why Axe and Wendy didn't get together.

But he, as a strong person, is able to rip out of the heart of the one who betrays him. This is his strength.

This scene showed us how wonderful deep connection between these two, and it’d be great and perfect that they never cross the line until the show’s end.
The dialogues between these two characters are wonderful. The unconditionality you have turns the relationship into something very sexy. Each dialogue gradually reveals, what is the true feeling one has for the other even if they escape the spark in between.
It's like cooking ribs. Put them on the flames a blazing, and they turn tight, and they stick to the bone in a nasty way. Put them away from the flames, but still under the cover, and cook them for a long time, and they melt in your mouth like butter, and fall right off the bone.
These have been my favourite scenes between Wendy (Maggie) and Bobby (Damian) in the entire season. They're the best female-male friendship-partnership out in TV. Even better than Good Wife's Diane and Will. Love it!
Axe clearly needs wendy in his life, something that really seems like love sometimes. Altough Chuck really likes Wendy , he finds true hapiness when ascending true Power and crushing his adversaries

All the forced "Taylor" stuff by whoever is their connection on the show and has been writing things around them has hurt the show and the story line more than they realize. I agree! Chuck is NOT to be trusted. I will never forget the first episode when He arrived home from work and asked Wendy if she was "happy" with her work situation. The way he sneakily tried to get her to quit AXE CAP by making her feel like he was doing her a favor by bringing up another job opportunity. At that moment, I knew he could not be trusted. If you think about it, Axe is a much better person than Chuck. I mean, Axe is loyal to a fault. Although he hurt Wendy in episode 1 episode 12. Once he realized that she did not betray him, he NEVER let her down again. And he would never do anything to hurt his best friend, Wags. Unlike Chuck, who threw his best friend under the bus in the Juice deal.

Funny how Wendy asked Chuck when he realized he needed to marry her despite the fact he already told her before the Ice Juice debacle. And funny how she is being wooed by Axe forgetting the threats he made when Chucked hacked her session notes and when Lara ran off with his kids after Wendy told her she made the decision to come back to Axe Capital. The lawyer Bach also basically let the cat out of the bag in the last episode saying Wendy does not have patient-doctor confidentiality with anyone at Axe Capital including Axe at least that is what they all believe now. And if she loses or gets her license stripped there are no consequences for hooking up with patients now she is no longer serving as a Doctor.
Yeah, the writing took a dip this season and the character inconsistencies are just the tip of it, sadly. Hope they rap things up in the next season, because i can't see a future for this series.

Well, but beyond the relation between these 2 and how this dialogue explain many things in the show... The message is super power full, the way Axe took it could be a good leadership lesson for a future leader in an org., leader are not gods and should be receptive to a demand when it comes from a loyal focused employee. IMO
Romance tends to have many moments that build up like a meter where you don't realize what you have till you lose it. Many guys that share Axe's one sided obsession due to a single interaction don't get far pass the restraining order. 😅
A wonderful sign of advanced age in life: when the quality of this kind of show (and the expressed exchange of human emotion) is so much more satisfying entertainment style, than a Captain Marvel big screen extravaganza. Two different universes, if you'll tolerate the pun.

It seems Axe knows he is not relationship material for Wendy. He is better in her life as her boss and partner rather than someone he should lay down with. He knows himself and being with Wendy is not something he needs to do. IMHO.
tbh i'd rather them to be just like life-time work partner than to be romantic partners. It makes the show better

I remember that episode and I also remember her HUSBAND'S response! That's when I knew Wendy and Axe were going to get it on some day! LMAOOOOO! When she asked Chuck when he knew she was his person and he didn't remember, I was like ...buddy, your days are numbered! Heck, I love Axe anyway, but I was READY to drop everything for him myself after that speech he gave Wendy! Axe may screw you a bit, but he is pretty loyal when he knows you are loyal to him. I think, in a way, Chuck WANTED to hurt Wendy for staying at Axe Capital. Chuck, to me, is FAR more devious because he is only loyal to himself.
I agree! Chuck is NOT to be trusted. I will never forget the first episode when He arrived home from work and asked Wendy if she was "happy" with her work situation. The way he sneakily tried to get her to quit AXE CAP by making her feel like he was doing her a favor by bringing up another job opportunity. At that moment, I knew he could not be trusted. If you think about it, Axe is a much better person than Chuck. I mean, Axe is loyal to a fault. Although he hurt Wendy in episode 1 episode 12. Once he realized that she did not betray him, he NEVER let her down again. And he would never do anything to hurt his best friend, Wags. Unlike Chuck, who threw his best friend under the bus in the Juice deal.
@@TheLadybug2009 - Yep! You're absolutely correct! Chuck is do incredibly devious and dubious and he does what he does knowing that it will hurt those he loves most. Axe is loyal.

Funny how Wendy asked Chuck when he realized he needed to marry her despite the fact he already told her before the Ice Juice debacle. And funny how she is being wooed by Axe forgetting the threats he made when Chucked hacked her session notes and when Lara ran off with his kids after Wendy told her she made the decision to come back to Axe Capital. The lawyer Bach also basically let the cat out of the bag in the last episode saying Wendy does not have patient-doctor confidentiality with anyone at Axe Capital including Axe at least that is what they all believe now. And if she loses or gets her license stripped there are no consequences for hooking up with patients now she is no longer serving as a Doctor.
Yeah, the writing took a dip this season and the character inconsistencies are just the tip of it, sadly.
Hope they rap things up in the next season, because i can't see a future for this series.

The more that I see Bobby and Wendy (Damian &Maggie) together on Billions, the more and more I am convinced that they were born for each other. Their chemistry is undeniable regardless of the fact that they have children & other adults in their real life! God DOES work in mysterious ways!!!
I Agree 100% Percent. I think it is so sad, and ironic, that their spouses died in the same year (2021) and of the same horrible disease (cancer).

The message is super power full, the way Axe took it could be a good leadership lesson for a future leader in an org., leader are not gods and should be receptive to a demand when it comes from a loyal focused employee. IMO

A wonderful sign of advanced age in life: when the quality of this kind of show (and the expressed exchange of human emotion) is so much more satisfying entertainment style, than a Captain Marvel big screen extravaganza. Two different universes, if you'll tolerate the pun.
