what an awesome pod of people! at 18:39 Cassius uses Mental Misstep on Flusterstorm. That only counters the flusterstorm itself, but not the storm trigger. Storm is a cast trigger, and flusterstorm has been cast. there is still allllllll the copies of flusterstorm that Joe M controls. fierce wouldve been countered and LED would resolve...
Yep! Storm is op. Also when will Cassius ever show the key cards he's using from his infinite mana combo. You should still be able to articulate and pull out the key cards to illustrate your win to completion.
Yep, I was here looking for the same comment. Cash had no mana, and there were two spells cast before Flusterstorm, so the storm count would have = 3. However, Joe also played it wrong and did not pick his targets for the copies.
Cassius' deck is so overtuned compared to the other players. Maybe Joe's deck is up there but Gabriel is out here cracking a terramorphic expanse for a basic forest and playing an island for turn. Cassius is hitting a grim monolith into a jeweled lotus and playing teferi untapping and taking an extra turn ON TURN 2. Bro. Bring a more equally powered deck to actually make the game fun for your friends.
love how they talk about turn 5-7, then cassius is immediatly like yeahh idk about that this deck won a tournament. like what is the point of the conversation if ur just gonna ignore it.
Definitely respect your point on that one, but it would be hilarious to see Gabe come out one episode and obliterate the table with a crazy storm deck or something!
Sorry Blackneto, love Joe, Love Gabriel but damn Cassius just doesnt play the same levels haha. Wish I could see Joe and Gabriel (and your board) develop a bit more and see better interactions.
Watch Cassius play is hilarious because he has the cards, he has the internet to look up a cedh deck, he brings it to a table thats not even close to power level. Then Spends half the episode searching off a turn 2 tutor, then misplays a flusterstorm counter, then really has no idea how his combo works. The fact the host of show said something and still didn’t catch the fluster storm is crazy.
Cash did a really bad job of explaining the Teferi-Chain Veil combo. Since Teferi's untap ability is a minus, Teferi will eventually die. Cash needs to generate enough mana to recast Teferi when this happens. Additionally, when Teferi is recast, all of the Chain Veil activations still apply to the 'new instance' of Teferi. He can use those additional activations to draw cards with Teferi's plus ability.
He can't continue the loop if he ever does the plus on his original Teferi. He needs to do the minus in order to untap the Chain Veil so that he can continue to activate the Teferi. 1 Chain Veil activation = 1 Teferi activation, so if he ever uses the plus on the original Teferi, he won't have the capability to untap the Chain Veil and continue the combo. He needs the additional activations on a recast Teferi to ever activate the plus ability.
@@michaelchavis9770 key taps to untap, it's net zero in this loop. It also costs mana so even using it to untap vault doesn't improve the situation. He can untap the veil one time sure so he can plus one time extra but it's not necessary. He does have the combo but it was explained poorly. He has to net mana with the veil + teferi, minus until Teferi leaves, and it has to be enough mana to recast him including enough left over to pay for the commander tax. Every minus untaps veil, vault, crypt, and either island or sol ring. so (7 colourless), or (5 colourless + 1 Blue) minus 4 for the veil. If you can recast teferi once, you can loop forever since the new teferi can activate more times since chain veil adds activations for new planeswalkers counting every time the veil was activated this turn. Each activation is either +3 or +2 mana, and new teferi costs 8, so if he minuses at least 4 times before leaving the first time, he can loop forever with the additional veil stacks + recasts. Every extra veil stack can be used to plus teferi, netting more mana and more cards he is netting enough that each new teferi's commander tax is paid plus extra. It is infinite, since you can plus teferi with an empty deck, so he should be able to trivially win assuming he has a win condition in his deck somewhere.
This is my fave channel, but damn these decks that Cassius runs are a drain on the entertainment value as a viewer. The mood seems to always shift and drop at the table and so does the mood drop as a viewer. If no one’s having fun playing then no one’s having fun watching
I think they have Cassius because he’s a big name and he seems to help Out Joe. Minus that I agree it’s not very entertaining to watch casual decks face Cedh decks … whenever Cassius plays that seems to be all he enjoys doing
Let's be honest with ourselves. When we all see a new TTJ episode we all get excited! Joe brings the energy, and a fun aspect to the game every single episode. That is the reason we all ask for more!! But when an episode with Cassius comes out, we all groan in pain and agony. 10-20 minute turns, $40K decks, and turn 3-4 win combos every single time he plays... Even the players look bored out of their minds watching him play solitaire for an hour. Doesn't understand the combos in the deck either. "Rule 0" with his cEDH deck he won tourneys in..
It's painful and almost pointless to watch even if they all agree to the rule 0. Its just not as entertaining to see ONE player become the threat just because they are playing a stronger deck than the rest. It would be way more entertaining to see him actually play something in line with the others. It's not even a personality thing, I am just tired of seeing the low variety in decks that he plays, too.

@@TabletopJocksits a good thing that people commented on this cause I actually didn’t know that about “storm” mechanic and I learned something from the comment.
I like this table, because you got four different vibes. Cassius tunes his decks to the highest level. He will absolutely wreck your face with his decks. Gabriel just loves magic and hanging with the homies. He don't care that other people are popping off way hard. Joe loves his tribe and his commander. He wants to do Dragon things with his friends. Joe just wants to be a good host, because I've played enough with him to know that his Mishra will put in work, but it's not nearly as degenerate as his Blanka deck.
There’s 2 types of competitive players. People who knows what they are doing and Cassius… son you gotta play faster if you’re going to play combo… if you were my friend I’ll be in your case 30 seconds tutors 60 sec turns…. Rule 0 means nothing if you aren't actually on the same power level. Rule 0 is about the fun/joy of the game. If you guys aren't enjoying getting dumpstered then we aren't either watching it. I should have turned it off when Joe said turn 5-7 and Cass said ehh idk about that. I get it, with turn 5 decks and a god hand, you can probably win turn three but that same thing shouldn't happen in the same way when you run it back. Have him play a powered down deck or have everyone build a deck on his power level. We shouldn't have to hear that he slow played it to "have mercy" on everyone either. Dragonborn Barbarian for the win for me. I love playing that in One Shots, I enjoy the rage of ancient dragons and slaughtering my enemies and standing on a mountain on corpses of my enemies and letting out a mighty roar of victory.

Coming in knowing Cash Marsh ruined the gameplay with his overpowered BS. Didnt even pay attention to the game. Just here to enjoy the guests conversation.
Misplay: Flusterstorm creates copies of itself on the stack when it's being cast for each other spell that was cast before on the same turn (Storm), The storm count was 2 (LED and FG) he had 2 copies of Flusterstorm, and mental misstep would've only countered one copy of Flusterstorm, Cashes was tapped out.
Squee doesn't go to the graveyard from Food Chain, he goes to exile, then he can be cast from there. Also, Food Chain can supply "infinite mana" this way, but that mana can only be used to cast creature spells. Just small corrections.
Additionally, doesn't Food Chain create mana of one color? So it'd make 4 mana of one color which has to be red to keep recasting Squee...so he's got infinite red mana. So how does Joe play Tiamat? Am I missing some detail?
@@archmagemechanic1 you make an additional mana each time. So you can get 'infinite' red and then use that to continue and get 'infinite' of any other colors as well. But it's only for casting creatures. You could use a creature like Ramos, Dragon Engine in this deck to filter that mana into other uses though.
The amount of people getting salty on other peoples behalf is astonishing these guys play together all the time and are ok with what each other plays they laugh about it because it’s a game cash is a stand up guy just like Joe is and they are a blast to play with
Dood, so glad Gabriel mentioned the bike rack resembling the phyrexian symbol. I've seen the made the same connection before and thought to myself "Does that mean bikes make you pay with your life?"
Gabriel is the dad that learnt to play magic to spend more time with his nerdy son and is constantly trying to fit in with "the kids" by talking about baby yoda.
Cassius needs to find a way to bling out a casual level deck. Get some deep cuts in there because watching chain veil combo go off against a modified pre-con is just painful.
Let’s go!! 🎉Thanks for the Friday❤🎉 entertainment! I also have a Tiamat/Ancient dragon/Miirym deck and love DnD ❤I am guessing he wants to play Tiamat, play sneak attack, put Miirym down followed by all ancient dragons and more, maybe Scourge of the throne? And I haven’t played my deck a lot and frankly not a whole lot of commander! But if it’s more that’d be even better!
Lmao Cassius out here again with playing his tier 2 cedh deck countering Flusterstorm XD winning on turn 3 shiiiiiiit man. enjoy the channel joe no matter what he does tho :D
Great game, he had the kill with just terror and squee cause the squee will just keep coming in and dealing damage everytime he casts it to get his mana.
And Joe should have had the win a turn earlier. He could have sacrificed his elemental tokens after attacking to cast Squee from the graveyard to kick off the combo. Tokens have 0 CMC so each would be worth 1 mana.
Good games! Tiamat is silly good. Been trying to put together a dragon deck and have been bouncing around so many different color combinations for it. Why not ALL OF THEM!?!! Hahaha. Cheers!
CANT WAIT TO SEE JOE AT THE COOKOUT this Tiamat deck was much better tuned and piloted than Ziatora from last time and it showed huge growth for him as a player. Gabe and Cash need to swap decks before episodes.
Cassius's deck was just a well oiled machine the whole time. When he played Fabricate I knew he was either going for the last combo piece or something different to let things go on a bit longer XD
Also the office idea is great on camera. Maybe it would feel less cramped to you if you take out that little side table/ credenza and move the desk all the way to the other side of the room.
I’m sure Joe knows this now but the flusterstorm has storm so mental misstep would only counter one copy of fluster. Great energy though on the show love the guests.
Can someone explain how Joe was able to cast all of those dragons? I’m so sorry I missed something. I get he tutors for them with Tiamat but how does he cast them? Was it with food chain? I’m sorry and thanks in advance!
He was able to make infinite mana. I can't remember exactly but I believe it was from recurring squee from the graveyard and food chain and then tiamat tutors for the dragons and he can play them with his infinite mana. Sequencing the dragons correctly meant he would get multiple copies of each entering and then multiple etbs which would have been enough damage to take out Gabriel and Blackneto.
@@MetaLibanez1 that makes total sense! Thank you, I got interrupted mid game by a meeting at work so I came back to it like waaaaait a second 😂 thanks for that!
oh man I know it was mentioned already but such a shame about the missed ruling on that mental miss step vs fluster storm. Joe made a great play there. Woulda liked to see what woulda happened if that went through appropriately.
I LOVE this, new subscriber. ya’ll really got me wanting to try EDH, looks fun! i would def want to see the same pod of guys but with similar power level decks! love the vibes!
Correct me if I'm wrong, but in the 3rd game, Joe couldve won on his turn when he had food chain on the board. He had the tokens to exile to pay for squee to keep the chain going? Bring out tiamat and poop out dragons galore to kill the table, no?
I saw that too. Those tokens were all the fuel he needed to cast squee and go off. Edit: flip side, I had a missed thing yesterday that cost me the game. So, I get it with joe missing the opportunity.
Biggest take away this session is that Gabriel seems like a genuinely likable, really nice guy
He really does.

I can tell Joe M was not having it/enjoying the game on Cassius’ extra turn 😂
Gabriel is the dad that learnt to play magic to spend more time with his nerdy son and is constantly trying to fit in with "the kids" by talking about baby yoda.
Looks like Manganiello's biggest commander pet peeve is the table not being able to play.
*I'm all the way out here for this video* 🙏🙏🙏
Cash the ultimate pub stomper.
Fun game if the mono blue player wasn't there.
this is always true
Hearing all of y’all geek out about Godzilla is fantastic!!! I made a Godzilla gruul deck, would love y’all to play against it sometime
Cash, we are playing casual commander. Bring a power 7 deck
Oh, my Cedh deck is a 7 bro.
Cassius is the definition of “I have money so every deck I have has to be top tier” ive never seen the dude not play competitive style decks.
Good games! Tiamat is silly good. Been trying to put together a dragon deck and have been bouncing around so many different color combinations for it. Why not ALL OF THEM!?!! Hahaha. Cheers!
Last game I played I finally got to play teferris puzzle box. SO MUCH FUN
This is hilarious 8:16. Gabriel and Bubbles look identical when Cassius blue goes off
Can we just appreciate the subtle Hunter X Hunter reference Cass made
CANT WAIT TO SEE JOE AT THE COOKOUT this Tiamat deck was much better tuned and piloted than Ziatora from last time and it showed huge growth for him as a player. Gabe and Cash need to swap decks before episodes.
I am now a huge fan Of Joe. Sitting with that dog on his lap. Just chilling. Seems like a good dog 🐕
I watched Joe Magninillo's "Finding your roots" where that jones line is from.
Cassius's deck was just a well oiled machine the whole time. When he played Fabricate I knew he was either going for the last combo piece or something different to let things go on a bit longer XD
I need that Dragonlance t-shirt! Gonna hit that Death Saves store before christmas!
Cassius playing stinky poopoo blue. gross, i remember a episode where someone stopped him and he scooped and sat the whole match. Blue players
DUDE my birthday is also December 5th that's such a wholesome tidbit of info. Crazily enough my name is also Gabriel.
Thats also not how the stack resolves at @19:20 yall forgot about the flussterstorms was like for 3
T1 by Cassius was cold. Also love JM and death saves
Also the office idea is great on camera. Maybe it would feel less cramped to you if you take out that little side table/ credenza and move the desk all the way to the other side of the room.
Dockside would've created 5 treasures. It counts artifacts and enchantments. So Path of the World Tree counts towards the total
I’m sure Joe knows this now but the flusterstorm has storm so mental misstep would only counter one copy of fluster. Great energy though on the show love the guests.
Straight up ballers! Great vid guys!
Cool game of shuffle my deck every turn while I learn my deck as I play it.
I watched this 3 times! Love this group so much! Keep it up, guys.
This is such a 🔥 pod. Rakdos gang gang for life bring that cruelty Joe!
commander is like a box of choclate you never know what you get
Can someone explain how Joe was able to cast all of those dragons?
Where did you get your custom sleeves made? They look dope
Thank you so much! They are Dragon Shield sleeves and can be obtained only through Patreon! Here’s the link:

Cassius' decks are always overpowered.
I wish to see more the table and cards and people playing 🤷🏻♂️
bling scale on the rare charlie brown misprint of Sapphire Medallion? Does it beat foil?
oh man I know it was mentioned already but such a shame about the missed ruling on that mental miss step vs fluster storm. Joe made a great play there. Woulda liked to see what woulda happened if that went through appropriately.
hell yea gamers sick pod !!!
Wouldn't Joe's Flusterstorm get copied because he cast a previous spell so it's storm count would be 2 Cassius would have to counter both copies?
yes they def missed that, common mistake. people assume it just makes it cost more to pay to not have it countered.
Ya’ll had the rule zero convo? really? cuz Cassius just pub-stomped ya’ll.
I really wanna see this dragon queen decklist!!!
Which app are they using to keep track of life...I can not seem to find a good one to do so.
Moxtopper! Hope that helps. I think it might be iOS only right now though.
