I love this idea. The bookmarks are beautiful especially with the distress inking.. On the Christmas ones, it would be nice to use a Christmas song/music book as the backs of the bookmark as an alternative.
excellent project... I have 12x12 pads that I need to use up, so I think I'll try gluing two pieces of the 12x12 scrapbook paper with some 12x12 cardstock in between and then I'll cut into 2x6 bookmarks... it should go pretty quick... thanks for the idea!..
Love these!! I always make a ton of bookmarks for my craft shows. I find that kids love to buy them for their parents and grandparents as well as teachers and friends. I also make a ton for my daughter who is a teacher to have in her reading corner. The kids love that they can take a bookmark when ever they need one. Thanks so much!
I love your idea, it is so cute and easy. Thank you. Amber I miss your videos, I keep looking for new videos from you and love to watch you explain and show how to.
I remember getting that brownish finishing look by burning the edges eons ago. This ink seems was safer 😂 will try to find some damaged book to use for this. Thanks for the tutorial.
Christmas 2020.... I've made tons of these bookmarks. Hershey Nugget Packs and bookmarks are my favorite items to make. Even my husband helps. He cuts up the cereal boxes for me. Thanks! Amber.
OMG!! Another FUN project. My friends and family are really going to get quite a nice packed basket of all the projects you have shared. It keeps growing. That basket will be stuffed.
Amber, I have been following you for about 2 years now and you always seem to come up with perfect ideas for MY craft fairs. LOL ...This one is another winner. I give it 2 thumbs up 👍👍
Love this! I (and my bestie slash business partner) decided to take the 2023 Craft Season off, due to being diagnosed with Endometrial Cancer late June, I had surgery and it's all gone. 4 more Radiation treatments for a cautionary measure.... so loving your channel for inspiration for the 2024 season, and xmas gifts of course!!! ❤😊❤😊❤😊
Amber--Where have you been all my crafting life? Just found you and what a great teacher you are! You are very through from beginning to end. You have a true gift. Thanks! Nolita
thank you so very much for this tutorial. I am new to scrapbooking and had been using packaging tape to put mine together. It works and I used decorations and stickers to decorate them. I love your idea of letting us know an idea of what to charge for pricing. That helps me out a lot as well. Thank you so much!!
Super cute! This is the type of item my mother in law looks for as gifts to her 10 “quilting friends”. You definitely stepped up your game this year with super cute, great ideas!😘😘😘😘
Hi Amber, it's Patty (Tink). Love the book marks. I always laminated a them. But I like this idea better. It warns my heart every time I see you use this punch.
What a GREAT idea! Very well presented. Thank you for these great tips! 👍🏻 I wonder if I can close the eye lest without that pricey tool? Hammer time? 🤣
These bookmarks are adorable! I made some last February, but did the vinyl covers for them. I will try the inked edges next time, as I like the vintage look for books. Great job!
Hello Amber, love all your tutorials and you have such a wonderful voice to listen to. Thank you for sharing all the ideas! I have a question, will the ink rub off on book pages? Thank you.
great project to use up scraps! Thanks for sharing. I have the tag punch in my amazon cart now. :) I can't wait to make a bunch of these. I'm working on some craft show projects now and am going to pay attention to my scraps and just cut down for these bookmarks as I go.
I love to read so I really love this idea! Thank you for all the great tutorials. I have followed you for a long, long time. I always dream of doing a craft fair. Maybe next year!
I use music paper instead of book pages. I think that makes them more vintage looking. Not sure if I’m going to laminate them and I use the gift tag punch for the top
Love the tutorial, I make fabric bookmarks, but .I'll have to give these a try. I'd save the money and cut down on plastics and skip that step. I think they display beautifully without it 😺
Great video! I made Halloween versions of this and have a good tip. I noticed with use the bottom corner edges tend to pull up so I took a paintbrush with Mod Podge to strengthen the edges-worked great.
WOW, these are so cute and easy. Thank you for sharing. Can you Please tell me how long and wide the ribbons are. Thanks again for listing your products you use also.
Cute item for a craft fair item! I like the Brad topper and open ended plastic sleeve! You mentioned at the end how these bookmarks would be good gifted with other items, do you ever offer any type of variety package at your craft fairs? TFS.
So cute! I love these. My son is a teacher and what a fun thing to make for his classes. 80 students! Lol 😆. I especially loved the plaid ribbon. Was it by chance Hobby Lobby? I am also loving the way you are doing the pricing and packaging this year! Thanks Amber, you’re the best ❤️
Amber! I really enjoy watching your videos and always refer to your channel for new ideas, so thank you so much for sharing your very easy to understand projects. I must comment on the wonderful choice of background music you choose! What is the name of this beautiful guitar music? I particularly love your craft fair recaps! Thank you!
Thank you for sharing! Do you have any tips for the tape? I love the idea of the blue double sided tape but it always malfunctions for me. I have tried several brands and have had the same experience.
i am starting to accumulate clear bags now for my items. What is your storage solution for them? They are so slippery and I want to keep track of the sizes and where I buy them too. Thank you for the discount code. I will use it today.
What size ribbon did you use; the width? Length? Also, how did you cut the cardstock and other papers , by hand or rotary cutter and Matt? wondering the most efficient way to cut multiple papers.
If you click on her amazon link in description box you will find it under "supplies" it is called distress ink! The stamp tool is right next to the ink! www.amazon.com/dp/B0006HBUEM/?cv_ct_id=amzn1.idea.1L40DXTEWHI45&cv_ct_pg=storefront&cv_ct_wn=aip-storefront&ref=exp_cov_lyriclover810_dp_vv_mw
I ordered the punch you recommended from Amazon -- it does not work. It will only punch through one sheet of paper. I even tried to punch through a normal size thickness book mark I had and it won't even punch through that. I will be returning it. Stampin' Up has a new punch in their current catalog called "Delightful Tag Topper" #149518 $23.00 which will cut 1", 1-1/2", and 2". I am going to order it. I love the idea and hope I can find a punch that will work.
PrincessDamama It worked better but won’t punch through more than one piece of paper too. Then after making about 27 book marks it wouldn’t cut right. I called SU and they are replacing it at no charge. My friend is a demonstrator and she also has that punch and has a similar issue with hers but not as bad as the problem I had. The very top of the tag does not punch out right. It’s hard to describe but SU is replacing it and doesn’t want me to return the defective one. Other than that I really like the punch.
Hi I tried these. Mine don’t look as sturdy as yours I did the exact thing that you did but they are buckling and warping. What am I doing wrong? I only used a tiny bit of glue
Absolutely beautiful. Fast...quick...easy...festive...
What a nice idea.
I love this idea. The bookmarks are beautiful especially with the distress inking.. On the Christmas ones, it would be nice to use a Christmas song/music book as the backs of the bookmark as an alternative.
Great idea to use Christmas sheet music!
I love your simple ideas which are easy to price on a lower price point...drawing people to our booth and giving affordable items for all!

Those are really nice.
TY TY for including your prices. Some people act like it's a secret 😂
I appreciate you mentioning it.
Great gifted with a holiday book. For those going through grieving there is a great christmas tree book for those losing loved ones
Love these!! I always make a ton of bookmarks for my craft shows. I find that kids love to buy them for their parents and grandparents as well as teachers and friends. Love the tutorial, I make fabric bookmarks, but .I'll have to give these a try. I'd save the money and cut down on plastics and skip that step. I think they display beautifully without it 😺
Great video! I made Halloween versions of this and have a good tip. I noticed with use the bottom corner edges tend to pull up so I took a paintbrush with Mod Podge to strengthen the edges-worked great.

sjkrueg1948,
Did the Stampin Up punch work any better? I'm on the hunt for a decent punch. Thanks!

So cute.
Their beautiful, how much do you charge? Thanks for the video
What type and width of ribbon do you use in your bookmarks? I’m trying to make some for gifts.
You are the best beloved 👏👏😎🤩🤩🤩😍
I made bookmarks also 😊 wow we think a like I didn’t laminate mine. TFS
I made bookmarks a few years ago for a teacher friend to give her students. I did laminate so they wouldn't get dirty or torn for these youngsters.
What size are your bookmarks in inches, and do you have a template or die you use.?
Hi I tried these. Mine don’t look as sturdy as yours I did the exact thing that you did but they are buckling and warping. What am I doing wrong? I only used a tiny bit of glue
Really adorable!
