Hidden Gem of Croatia

Travel vlog #12 | Drvenik, Croatia | Filmed July 2021
In our 5th vlog from Croatia, we traveled south of Split down the Dalmatian Coast to an unassuming coastal hamlet with an official population of 500 on the Makarska Riviera called Drvenik. We had zero expectations beyond spending time relaxing with a good friend. What we found there totally blew us away!

We are Matt and Avic; Matt grew up in Virginia, USA, and Avic in Quezon City, Philippines. Since we started dating back in the 1990s, travel has been a major part of our relationship.
By May of 2021, both of our sons were out on their own and we were fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus. We decided to quit our jobs, sell our house, get rid of most of our stuff (store the rest), and set out on a Nomadic Life.
“Explore Tayo” means “let’s explore” in Taglish (blended Tagalog-English.) “Tayo” is the inclusive “we” vs the exclusive “kami."
