Normally the Costa Brava is associated with beach holidays. Would you come here for a winter vacation?
😍😍😍 Stunning! Need to hit those slopes soon!
Mate thanks!!! Yes, such a good spot eh and so close to Barce!! Too easy and great snow this season.
Which of the two villages do you advise for semi-experienced skiërs ? And when comparing restaurants, bars and nightlife ?
Hello!!
As a person who lives there, both La Molina and La Masella are great for beginner to experienced.
Masella’s slopes are longer. To ski Molina, you constantly change slopes without realising it and have to take a chairlift or several of them to get back to where you started which can sometimes be a burden since when it closes…it closes (I mean the lifts close at 17:00, and if you go there at 17:02, they don’t let you on (depending on the employee) and you gotta hike back)
Masella gets more snow and less ice because it doesn’t get as much sun as Molina.
Masella also has a night skiing option.
They are both very fun.
They also have a connector in between so you can start the day off in Masella and then cross over to Molina and back on your skis.
However, if you’re looking at doing off roads, then highly recommend Andorra, Vallter2000 or Baqueira Beret.
Gotta be careful though as there is a way higher avalanche risk and there’s also bears (not spotted too often but have to be checked before you decide to go)
Baqueira Beret= 4-5h from BCN (Barcelona)
Andorra= 3-4h from BCN
La Molina= 1h 40min-2h from BCN
La Masella= 1h 40min-2h from BCN
There’s also other mountains which are less crowded like Valter2000 and Vall de Nuria.
Hope it helps!!
If you have any other questions feel free to ask em
Baqueira also has an outside night club.
Idk if Andorra, Molina, Masella or the others have that option.
However, there might be so I suggest you do the research if that’s something you’re interested in.
