At a certain point in his career, Jim Carrey was so respected as a comedic actor that his scripts would usually have a few required lines and then " Jim does something funny". Mostly they just have him free run to improvise and use his talent. That's also part of the reason for the blooper reel.

He's so hilarious. When he sang "Here she comes to wreck the day" it was based on the Mighty Mouse theme song in which Andy Kaufman sang on stage. Jim played Andy Kaufman in Man On The Moon, which was a really great movie. You should watch that someday. It's based on the true story.

I wrote my own plot for a sequel to this movie if it were ever to get made; this is what I came up with..
In "Liar Liar Pants on Fire," our protagonist, a sleazy car salesman named Max Reede, the son of Fletcher Reede from the first film, finds himself cursed by a gypsy he wronged. The gypsy casts a spell on Max, forcing him to only tell the truth for one day or risk having his pants catch on fire.
The movie opens with Max’s pants starting to smoke suddenly in the middle of a sales pitch, but only he can see it. Hilarity ensues as Max struggles to keep his pants from going up in flames while telling the truth about the cars he’s trying to sell. Customers are stunned by his honesty and refuse to do business with him.
Max must navigate through his day, trying to undo the curse and prevent his pants from catching fire. He visits a priest, a psychic, and even a fire marshal, but nothing seems to work. As the day goes on, Max’s honest confessions about his past misdeeds only make matters worse.
In the end, Max learns the value of honesty and makes amends with the gypsy who cursed him. The movie closes with Max finally breaking the curse, just in time to save his pants and his job. With newfound honesty, Max finds success and happiness in his career and personal life.
Throughout the film, "Liar Liar Pants on Fire" delivers non-stop laughs, witty one-liners, and a message about the importance of honesty.

Its sad because you can see the overwhelming stress on his shoulders. I'm not excusing him for his actions. He's honestly a pretty terrible person in this movie. It was pushed by the stress on his shoulders and he felt the need to appease his higher ups to the point of lying over and over. Even to his own family. Like...it sucks, but its super prevalent. A lot of people make some very terrible decisions because of the stress from his higher ups

To fill anyone in that may have missed it the way she seemed to - The joke that broke the scene right here that made it an outtake and not appear in the movie is the actress calling Jim Carrey an "overactor" himself, not his character. It wasn't the word "jezebel" that everyone else was laughing at.
He's literally known for taking these outrageous characters with such exaggerated characteristics and extreme personalities and fully committing to them, he's almost the definition of an overactor, but it is typically used as an insult or a negative quality. He had made it one of his biggest strengths in comedic acting roles, much like Chris Farley and Will Ferrell did/do.

I love it when he "scalps" the dude during the boardroom roast and does that incredibly racist Native American Yelping sound.
Comedic gold, I say this as a pure aboriginal so

Yes Man wasn’t 1 of his bests… it wasn’t as good as Liar Liar or any of his old movies.
He was passed his prime when he did Yes Man

The Mask, Liar Liar, Ace Ventura 1 & 2, Dumb and Dumber 1 & 2.... Jim Carrey is genious comedian but if you want to see him bit doing actual "serious acting" not just make laugh hysterically : The Truman Show, the Majestic and Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind. And if you ever intrest to see Jim Carrey in total non comedic thriller / horror role: The Number 23.
Jim Carrey is very versatile actor like Adam Sandler. Maybe even levels of Robin Williams, but then Robin Williams did Good Will Hunting and the Fisher King. Two films that changed my views of him completely.
