Now that you made so much videos with super glue, it would be interesting for me to see a comparison in strength, which is the most durable for repairs. I like this series 🙂
@@miraak8523 Made in USA : Tool costs 5 times as much and only randomly works because it's either on strike, off sick, or on summer vacation with the kids.
When it's sunday or evening and your tool breaks, I do feel like this is a good idea. Though, the big question is how long it lasts. I don't expect the sand to stick very well.
I see this is the cynics section. 😁 Yep, the sand doesn't last very long but in an emergency are to fit into really tinier odd shape things it actually works okay. But I found it works really great if you have some polishing grits because their smaller size really does get held on pretty well. I've also found, if you're willing to wait just a little bit, that polyurethane glue works a lot better than super glue and you can make the damn thing thicker but the problem with both these things is that you can't sand very long because heat will cause stickiness and even combustion. 😁
Shame you didn't actually pay attention to what he did, before you made yourself look silly - he didn't use the knife blade, obviously, as it already had a hole in it, and is hardened to boot - he used a piece of steel, which didn't come sharpened...
Die besten Ideen die ich seit langer Zeit gesehen haben, echt. Du hast mir ein paar sehr gute Ideen zum Schleifen gegeben. Interessant noch, man kann es immer wieder benützen!! Danke dafür. Kind regards from MX
You should make molds of a bolt and put super glue with the sand, baking soda and styrofoam and use a torce (mind my spelling) wrench to see which is stronger.
Yes, it would be so handy if they made tools that incorporated abrasive technologies. Like, I dunno, the file used at ~2:35? I suppose if the world as we know it ends and aliens take all the hardware store goods, but I have electric drills, super glue, and a beach, I'm set for all minor abrasive tasks necessary to rebuild society.
After watching this Inventor, exactly two Saturdays ago I bought 134 bars of 0.8x300 mm graphite, used for welding, for like $7. Can you believe it? Enough for lifetime. Now all I need is baking soda. Can't wait to start the experiments! 😊
I've also been experimenting with this mixture. I work in a soil lab, and have access to a variety of grades and shapes of sands. Particularly of interest is the mixture of 2 parts semi-rounded chert sand to 1 part baking soda by volume : this material was particularly hard and abrasive. Edit: moreover, sand between 30 to 100 mesh is pretty good
Just read your full comment and yes there is a company in terms uk that do a mix of the two and its for fixing petrol tanks. Iv just posted a comment saying it to
I was expecting so much more when he started messing with the razor blade from that box cutter but it was ANOTHER file. The 3rd in a row in this video. Me? I prefer sand in my spaghetti sauce. Oh boy! what a texture! Its like listening to a political debate or watching one of the Disney star wars trilogy movies
So, when you want to get max. from super glue you have to use it with small particles (sands, ashes etc)? That's mean we whole live used super glue in a wrong way.
That razor blade y'alls keep complaining about was replaced with a metal piece. Hence a drilled hole. As for all these things being useful, that's more on terms of meh. I agree with all who said I can just buy the stuff.
I was waiting to see what he was going to do with his bottlecap abrasive wheel. Then it came clear when he addressed the plaguing issue if how to sand down pex pipe. A real wiley bitch that pex can be with it's sharp burrs and whatnot. I feel like most of these should have been sandpaper and super glue. At least then it would last more than a half a second. I seen a couple clever uses for super glue. Sand isn't on the list. I'll tune back in next week for "super glue and coffee grounds. What the government doesn't want you to know! "
Year 2022 must be the year of the Super Glue!
It must be.

None of these videos show if it's actually worth doing any of these things. Pretty sure this guy just gets paid by super glue.
@@BigGreyLegFaceMan idk, try it and tell us if it's worth it.
@@JestarPhoenix so you are saying I should make a UA-cam series where test this guys super glue hacks verses tried and tested technology? 😂
@@BigGreyLegFaceMan Y E S 😆
from what I've seen on his channel, the toughest material is graphite (pencil shavings) mixed with a tad of baking soda.
You can literally get an 80 piece Dremel tool set for like 16 bucks
That tool set will cost double next year
Everyone: sounds good.
Inventor 101: is that a new kind of super glue?

You know, I’m starting to think that no matter what it is, as long as it’s sandy in texture it’ll work.
Well, I have to admit I recently bought a dremel for $30 that does all those things and more, including the actual make-it-spin part.
Do you often come here to boast about your profligate ways? You're clearly just a shill for Big Power Tool.
Exactly. This vid is like pretending to invent sandpaper xD
That's exactly what I thought. Entertaining nevertheless...

My mother in law snapped her car mirror off 7 years ago and I used the super glue and baking soda hack. It's still on there
Yes, hold the knife blade like that while drilling it, and when the drill snags you have a great vegetable (finger) cutter!
Shame you didn't actually pay attention to what he did, before you made yourself look silly - he didn't use the knife blade, obviously, as it already had a hole in it, and is hardened to boot - he used a piece of steel, which didn't come sharpened...

I don't know what you were looking at, but that wasn't a knife blade. Smh
Really liked the idea with the bottle cap.
Woah! This is even better than the super glue and baking soda one! I'm going to build an entire condominium!
Lmfao. I'm inspired as well. I'll build some brake pads for cars. Lol

Never mind the super glue.... what is that beautiful music in the background

Combine sand, baking soda, and graphite with super glue and test the hardness.
Just wondering how fast the sand wears off these home made mini tools? Might work vs plastic in a jam.

Wow amazing
Ok I keep watching these videos . . . . WHAT BRAND OF SUPERGLUE ARE YOU USING !!!!! Er, excuse me- got a little excited.
In super glue we trust!!!
All these little quirky sanding accessories already available for purchase in stores for a cheap buck.
@Miraak true 😐.
Finally saw the label... It's gorilla glue 👍😎
Took me a while til i realized what this video is about.
I haven't gave it a single thought of what sand paper is made of until this video
I'd like to see you do it with dry bread crumbs.
Or hair or dirt even it's the super glue that goes hard
it also depends on the porosity and overall bondability
Your a REAL inspiration Sir… Cheers 👍🍺

Try glue and dust from 60-unit hardened steel!
Which type of sand are you using?
Sue - what type of sand . . that is a darn good kwestion. Doubt we'll get an answer but it's darn good query.
