I've been watching football since the mid 80s and never seen anyone like Preud'homme. Absolute monster! As a Benfica fan I remember how he saved my team countless times during a dark period of the club. I specially remember how relaxed I was whenever there was a freekick near the box against Benfica. There was no way that ball would go in. Also impressed how the guy was speaking portuguese after a few weeks in the country. True Legend!
Let's see: Standard Liège (corruption); Malines/Mechelen; 1990's bankrupted Benfica.... that's the CV of the best keeper the world of football has ever seen... according to Benfica supporters. Let me tell you, this guy failed big easily each 3 matches, in the portuguese league! I saw it with my own eyes. The only great belgian keepers I know of are Jean-Marie Pfaff and Courtois.
