- This month is Pride Month, and its a very important time to be educated and pay tribute to those who came before us fighting the struggles for equality and the present fight that still is being fought against oppression today. It's also, I think, a good time to come together and be proud of who we are. This can be tough sometimes, as it was for so many of my friends and I. So I decided, for this video, to do something special, and sit down with a lot of my friends and answer some questions you all may have had about our personal experiences with our identity.We don't represent everyone on the spectrum, and we can only speak from our own personal experiences, we don't know everything, but hopefully, something we say may help some of you out there watching. I talk way more personally and openly about myself than I usually do here, so forgive my nervousness and I hope you enjoy.

Yudron Micros Sorry to sound salty but you are quite wrong. Labels can be hurtful or helpful, they let somebody know who they are. My community is more colourful and NOT bland than you ever will be.
if you need labels to know who you are, then what are you besides those labels, you're putting onto yourself?
only YOU should determine who you are. superficial labels take that away.
it's not a bad thing to count yourself to certain groups. but i don't think you should make labels a part of your personality or identidy.

This is legitimately my first time finding out Thomas is gay.
That aside, these folks are so sweet and wholesome I just wanna hug em all and tell them I love them. Personal experiences are invaluable knowledge for those still struggling. Thank you for flourishing in the responsibility of helping others.

Honestly this makes me cry. In a CATHOLIC SCHOOL people are accepting you! But in most normal schools people are bullied and told to kill themselves for even being a part of the LGBTQ+ community! I'm more crying cause of happiness I'm so happy for you! Congrats! Happy Pride month!

I identify as male, and the person I love the most in this world sees me as so. But 'coming out' was horrible. People followed me home, threw things at me, it became such an issue in high school that I reversed and went back to identifying as female. I'm trying to come back into myself, and honestly this video is helping me so much. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for making this. I'm crying my eyes out and the beginning of this I actually said 'I'm Kellyn and I use he/him pronouns', and I haven't been able to do that in so long. Thank you all, so much.

the "coming out multiple times" thing is definitely true in school. I started just talking about my girlfriend at the time and then ~~rumors~~ came and multiple people would come up to me and just say "???? a gay ????" and id be like ye

Just came back here to say that back then, when I was 17, four and a half years ago, this video had a strong positive impact on me and made me accept myself. It gave me so much courage at a stressful point. Huge thank you to y'all. Y'all are precious.
I came out to my best friend pretty horrible. I'm Carsen, she/her pronouns. At PE we got onto the discussion of LGBT or Gay, and I asked her opinion on it and she was like "ew gross, mom says they go to hell." And I was just like exploding on the inside, but calmly I was like "so what would you do if your friend was gay?" And she was like "I'd be really weird and my mom wouldn't let me talk to them anymore," and I was just like walking to the locker room with her so I said something stupid about me going to hell. After changing I got out of the locker room before her so I went and sat in my spot of the gym floor and just broke down crying into my knees. And the one other person I came out to (the most accepting girl ever) came over to me, I told her what happened and she was just so comforting and was like sitting there and my ex boyfriend from across the gym (sweetest boy ever, but yah know) was just so worried about me and texted my later asking, of course I didn't tell him though, anywho, my best friend came and was freaking out to why I was crying and I'm just sitting their sobbing and I let my other friend tell her and she was like "OMG! I'm so sorry I didn't know, YOU CAN LOVE OR DATE WHOEVER!! GOD I DIDNT KNOW!! Why didn't you tell me!!" And I was like "WHY DO YOU THINK" anywho, we haven't really talked about it but I know she accepts me. So, yeah, that happened

How I came out to my friends:

And then she hugged me while laughing and started making terrible lgbt puns when my girlfriend was over.
How my brother came out to me:

He: "I think I'm gay."
Me: *LGBT alarm starts ringing in my head*

He: "Well, I thought you would already know since my favorite color is pink, I love skirts and nail polish, I play with dolls, I make little dresses for my stuffies, I can twerk better than you, I literally own three girl wigs, I use 'girly' gestures and so on?"

How he came out to his friends:

How he came out to our parents:
He actually just brought his best friend home and kissed him in front of us, then he started singing YMCA.
That's it. My brother's gay, I'm bi (maybe asexual and biromantic, still trying to figure it out), my ex-girlfriend/friend is gay, one of my friend is asexual, another of is pan and one is still questioning herself.

Honestly I’m confuzzled too, like sometimes I think and believe, “oh I’m a girl.” But lately I’ve been more leaning toward non-binary, like, I’m okay with she/her out of habit but I’m feeling more okay with they/them in my head. @Mel D Being a mother is nurturing and caring for a child, not physically giving birth. I have no doubt in my mind that Rose would be an amazing mother, and she will raise beautiful children. And as for how? Ever heard of a magical thing called adoption or a surrogate? Truly amazing stuff. You'll learn about it if you read literally anything about transgender people and why they deserve to be respected.

Mel D First of all Rose is a SHE and you should at least have the decency to refer to her as such. Second of all I’m sure Rose will be an amazing mother because being a good mother is about caring for your child and there is no requirement for being a mother except to care for your child. The whole point is love is love and their is no boundaries to who you can care for. I hope you can do some more reading about transgender people and their rights and realize that the comment you made is quite hurtful and insensitive to many people. Watching this having just recently accepted my own bisexuality
I’d just like to take a moment to thank Thomas and his friends because I always binge watch all of his pride videos whenever I’m feeling down to help me accept and be comfortable with myself and they honestly bring me so much joy and a feeling of safety and they’ve also helped educate me about so many different things I didn’t about in this community (lgbtq+). I’d like to thank the queer lords, ladies and monarchs for all of these people in all of the different pride videos Thomas has made because they are all incredible and have given me a gift I don’t think I could’ve easily found otherwise.
I am Christian. I am Straight as a ruler. But I LOVE the LGBT community. I find it amazing that the community is SO BRAVE. I'm so so SO proud of everyone being able to be THEMSELVES. I just can't express with words how amazed I am at the world (even though we are DEFINITELY not perfect and DEFINITELY not over certain issues in the world) being able to finally be able to take in the community with open arms and am hoping that someday EVERYONE believes EVERYONE is equal. Element Dolphin I am bi but I am also a Christian and I know that god wants people to be straight so I don't know what to really do.
I believe God wants you to be happy, He loves every single one of His creations, and you're one of those. There are many sins described in the bible, and being sexually active with someone of the same gender might be one (I have reasons to believe otherwise) But all humans sin. It sucks that a lot of religious people (not all, luckily) have picked some sins to be worse than others, while the bible states all sins are equal to God. Also, we're not made to judge, the only one who can judge is God Himself and we're not even nearly as smart as He is.
You don't have to feel ashamed or disgusted with who you are because you've been told God wants you to be straight. I mean, where does the bible say that God wants such a thing? When I read the Bible, I read a message of spreading love.
I can't tell you what to do, but I can give you advice from my own experience as someone who is bisexual (still figuring it out actually, but that's the term for now) and also partially living in a religious world. Try to accept who you are, it makes life so much more easy and beautiful. It is difficult to know what's right or wrong if we're talking about actions, but you should know that you're not wrong for who you are. Some bisexual religious people decide to not be sexually active with the same sex and it's totally fine to decide that. I myself like to have an openmind, I don't know what the future brings and I don't want to limit myself in who I love. Decide what feels comfortable for you, and also, you don't have to make decisions anytime soon. Take your time to truly except yourself and figure out what you want to do in life.

If my daughter tells me when she's a lot older as she's only 3years old that she gay or bi or whatever my response will be ok, it doesn't matter to me because she's my baby and even when she's grown up she's still my baby, she's still the same person and I love her no matter what.

I'm so confused on where I stand and I don't know who to talk to, because I don't wanna bother anyone. At first I thought I was Bi, but it didn't fit me, and I found I wasn't actually attracted to the same gender. And I find people like attractive, but just not sexually, so I feel like I might be ace but I don't know for sure? I still find people attractive but i just cant imagine having sex. the whole idea of it confuses me or makes me uncomfortable and I'm just so confused. And I know that its OK to BE confused but I just feel pressured to KNOW and to have some kind of answer to who I am. I don't know.

Thomas, i just want to thank you. in fact its you who made me feel more sure about my sexuality, every time i question it i think of you and it makes me feel more comfortable about it. you really inspired me and even gave me the courage to come out to my friends. i am a proud pansexual thanks to you Thomas. so again... thank you, SO much!
When I had known very few sexualities I thought "okay, I'm straight". I just happen to think some girls are super pretty and would occasionally fantasize about a life with that person. Then I figured out bisexuality was a thing and I changed to bi, but I didnt really feel sexual attraction. Then I found out about demisexuality and ended up helping my mom find out that she was in fact demisexual. I figured that since I didnt feel things for people right away that I was demisexual, but even that... wasn't quite right. Then I found out about asexuality and oh am I glad. I had started thinking about my sexuality more and more. and the more I thought about it, the more I realized I wanted nothing to do with sex the idea slightly turned my stomach and so I was so glad to find the asexual community. I had virtually zero sex drive and wanted nothing to do with it, but still wanted a romantic connection with cuddles and cute forehead/nose kisses. So now I am happily a Female Aegosexual biromantic! It makes me feel really good to know that im not alone and that there is other people that can support me! :D So everyone stay strong and follow your hearts!

HLEO It's a sexuality… It means a person only gets sexual feeling/ attraction for a person after they've build up a close (romantic) bond. If it was a preference they would have had those feelings earlier on, but not acted on them, because they want to build a close bond first.

I just wanted thank you. You literally saved my life. A few months ago I was struggling with my identity and I tried to come out but everyone thought I was joking every time. And many of my close family members were sadly very unaccepting and we are still working on our relationships. And I was just in a really dark place. I was ready to end my life but was just trying to find a good time. One day I was mindlessly scrolling through my UA-cam and you guys caught my eye. I must have watched your having pride video 20 times. And then I watched the rest of your videos and actually laughed at you and your friends antics for the first time in a long time. The next week I successfully came out to every one and I just wanted to say how much I love you guys. I owe everything to you and I just wanted you to know that.
