Great présentation, thanks you a lot. i have seen 17v Vbr TVS, with a low resistor (22R) in series (down stream) with a 5v microprocessor input. i do not understand how this could protected the target circuit, would you be so kind as to give me a pointer to whether this was a good idea and how it works, or if not.
