I couldn’t stand not having a garden. I can’t even keep any small plants in my place because of my building’s rules so I’ve taken to planting on the side of a freeway off-ramp where there is a piece of grass that collects trash lol
Invaluable information in these marvelous tutorials. This is the kind of things that should be taught in schools. If one in 10 students take up just one element learned in classes like this, the positive impact of harmonious living with nature will reward us 10 fold.
My immediate impression of this video was that you did an exceptional good job. I highly recommend this presentation to anyone wanting to learn about the use and methods of saving water. Loved it!
depends a lot of farmers don't know about it lol i have a couple of acres and never actually thought about doing it until now same as most of the people i know we have more than 10 acres each and never do anything with it
We use a tool called a LightBoard. It's sort of like a big whiteboard, but with a well-lit piece of glass in the middle, used in a professional studio. Users write the content facing themselves, and we flip it in post-production!
Thank you I love these videos! It is recommendable to irrigate crops with treated black and grey water? do constructed wetlands work for low flows, like in a household? what are the links you mentioned for treating ww. Thank you :)
good video, good info, water is life, but too much water in tropical country such malaysia and sloppy hill will post land slide issue. i know slope is no good for ag, but can't help it. i think for sloppy terraced orchard, rain water should be lead away fast instead of let it soak into the soil causing saturation... any video on this ? too much rain and sloppy hill gardening .. thx andrew
andrew ysk The danger of landslides will be much more reduced, if you discard monoculture. It's very important to have trees and plants of varying heights from canopy, fruit trees, bushes, shrubs, climbers and ground covering creepers; only all of these together in the slopes will hold the substrate. The excess surface runoff will naturally form creeks...you can keep it alive by introducing ferns to the edges
We use a tool called a Learning Glass, along with a bit of editing. We think they're pretty neat too - although Professor Millison's drawings really take his lectures to the next level!
I live in high desert near a hillside. Whn it rains the water wash out all nutrients fr my yard straight dwn to lower part of the city leaving the soil arnd the yard dry and sandy. How can I start this permaculture around my yard so water stays inside the yard only.
This all starts with rain, but where do we get the rain? It is in the water cycle, but some places have water deficit. In some of those places we can Move the Water! See this 2-minute short video to explain #movethwater. See how to kick-start the water cycle and how to reverse global warming.
Watch earthlings the movie its free on youtube. Convince gov to let everyone have an acre of free tax free fertile land that they can live on and grow a food forest on
This guy is the Bob Ross of permaculture. Love these videos! So clear and easy to understand
Yes.. you get the same effect you learn and u relax
I don't even have a square foot of land to plant stuff, but I love watching those tutorials
😁 same here

Start a window basil plant. You can do it!

Another great video! I am so thankful to Oregon university and the instructor of these videos for sharing this incredible knowledge for free!
As a permaculture student struggling on water calculations, this is permaculture asmr for me. 😊 So relaxing..

I highly recommend this presentation to anyone wanting to learn about the use and methods of saving water.
Loved it!
What a good teacher. Love!!!
Why isn't permaculture more widespread? It makes so much sense!
It is actually

Amazing information. I love the relaxing tone of these videos.
Fantastic, easy to understand presentation.

Excellent Teaching! Namaste.🌻✌♥
Great video. Please keep them coming!
@5:18 Biological Water Treatment
WetLands - Natural Filtering
Lovely explanation!
Thanks for sharing knowledge :)
Rain water is not automatically clean water simply because it hasn't touched the ground. You'll want to filter/boil it if you intend to use it.
only for drinking, and then it depends...
very cool way of presenting and great mannerisms, this made me so relaxed
but the music is not helping me focus in speeech. the bgm should little dropped.
@@saraththarippayil7825 I agree. Music with speech is my top pet peeve on YT. When will people learn?!
You most likely covered this in another video, but depending on what material is on your roof the rain water could be somewhat toxic to drink.
Brilliant! Thank you for sharing!
Very informative please keep sharing and demonstrating 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Thanks! These videos are really informative!!!
Awesome. Thank you for your dedication, effort, and passion.
This is gold.
Water is life💙
Amazing informations. Thank you
Water really is sacred, just like the air we breath and the land we walk on. Just like every living thing.
What tool is used to create these videos? I love the style. Or maybe an amazing sound studio with a piece of plexi or glass?

Potential for life!!
WOW!great job GOD BLESS
I wish this video got more views.

Very beautiful and interesting presentation
I love the 'glass whiteboard' style, I wonder how they did that.
With a glass whiteboard
Great information, thank you so much for sharing.

Can I add this video to a website I'm working on? It's for healing the planet and this video is perfect. I couldn't do a better job. It's perfect!
Sure thing. It's open source with creative commons license.
GREAT video! Really pleasant!
Very much informative appreciated
He mentions "types of biological treatments that you can read about in the links" I don't see the links here nor when I try the OSU.
What's that board he writes on? Very cool. ..

Indeed. His drawings are awesome
What sort of setup is needed to create a such glass board with dark background?
Are Eucalyptus trees good for watersheds?
Permaculture is looking like everyone wanting to machu picchu their back yard. I think I'm in!
may i know which software was used for those writing graphics ?

Find local trees (fruit bearing as well) and plant. Look up harvestingrainwater.com. he solved this issue for folks in the desert or dryland. 🤙🏾

Where are those links for creating water filtration to address pollutants?
Спасибо. Thanks
Water from roof collects dirt ,dust bird dropping s too!
Thanks, I was scrolling through to see if that had occurred to anyone else.
Also I believe air pollutants can make their way into rainwater.
Thought that was a tank at 3:00
Does this man have a YT channel?
Yes
Great video. But the background music is rather distracting.
Container gardens - for those of us un-landed.
I don't want to worry about mosquitos so I plan to just direct the roof water into a swale.
❤
speed 1.25 it is..
Oh man, could stand this dude for 10 minutes, then my brain shut off. Too bad, ideas were great..
But cats, birds and bats here poop on the roof....
who is here couse of online slasses
well, damn... XD
I thought I was on acid.
Ditch the background music and you have an A+video
