Anna blev känd för svensk folket när hon framförde låten ”Have a Heart” under audition i Idol 2008. Idolresan slutade med en femteplats och två år senare ställde hon upp och vann hela Melodifestivalen. Vid sidan av artistyrket studerar Anna Bergendahl till läkare i Örebro och är Goodwill-ambassadör i projektet ’’Flicka’’ för FN.

• Född: 1991.
• Bosatt: Nyköping och Katrineholm.
• Uppväxt: Stockholm.
• Melodifestivalrutin: Annas debut i Melodifestivalen 2010 med balladen ”This Is My Life” gav utdelning direkt. Hon vann tävlingen och fick åka till Eurovision Song Contest i Oslo. Bidraget slutade på elfte plats i semifinalen och blev därmed Sveriges första och hittills enda bidrag att gå miste om en finalplats. Anna Bergendahl gjorde comeback i Melodifestivalen 2019 och nådde då en tiondeplats i finalen med ”Ashes to Ashes”.

Everyone talking about Mama vs Dotter - and yes I am sad for the latter she was my second favourite.
But my tears are for Anna. 🙁

Yes. Anna's kingdom came. Her kingdom is feeling without shame from 2010. This was masterpiece. A lot of people are crying now, cause Dotter lost. I'm crying too. But not for Dotter. For Anna.

This is a shame! Anna was underrated again! It happened three times:
1) This is my life (2010): She wins Melodifestivalen, but then she unfairly doesn't qualify to the Grand Final with a great song
2) Ashes to ashes (2019): She reaches the Final of Melodifestivalen by Andra Chansen, but then comes only 10th with a masterpiece
3) Kingdom come (2020): She goes directly to the Final of Melodifestivalen, but then gets only 4th place by both televote and juries and places 3rd with a song which was perfect for Eurovision
Didn't like this is my life at all, but the other two were great. She went with the wrong song to the eurovision😢
Ashes to ashes is the best one ever from her❣️ Love anyone who can recognize her greatness ❤️

Imagine releasing the best song in Melodifestivalen for two consecutive years and not winning once
The best song and performance in this year's Melfest! 10 years later she still got robbed even though top 3 is a great achievement and a big step up from last year.

I hate it when I love all of the top 3s. However you twist and turn it you will both be happy but also somehow very disappointed! I would have loved to see both Dotter and Anna in eurovision. I hope Mamas are received well in esc though!!!
