I understand you and respect you. But when I listen to this it is like stepping on glass and cutting your foot, I feel the same here, this guy is butchering a song I have loved for over 30 years and it hurts.

Before people get too hard on Kelly, this song is HARD to sing. ANYONE would have a tough time doing it. Kelly is 62 years-old. His growing difficulties with negotiating these incredibly difficult Lou Gramm-sung tunes is likely the reason Foreigner is going away. He can't do these tunes forever. No one could.
He said at the show that he wanted to stop performing before he got to the point that he couldn't provide the quality that he wanted to put out there and that the audience deserved. Or rather "before he started to suck" which is something he also said, lol. I thought it was a very admirable thing to say and do and I gained a ton of respect for him. This song has always been one of my favorites and I thought he did a great job. When I was young, I was more into the "metal/rock" scene, (Judas Priest/Scorpions, ACDC) and those were the types of shows that I attended. I never saw Foreigner back then. I wish I would have, but that's the way it goes. I made it a point to get to this show in Vegas and I am so glad I did and so happy to have seen them now before they wrap things up.
Also- people always dog on vocalists for not having the voice quality that they did in their youth. I challenge people to go back and listen to records/video of themselves at 20 years old compared to what they sound like when they are 60. And then try to sing at the rigorous pace that these artists do. People have no patience, empathy or compassion for aging of artists. It's sad really.
@@simonajugarih3620 sheesh. Bitter much? Noone is ever the original. Never said that he was. Everyone had a great time and Kelly did a great job providing everyone there the opportunity to re-live memories. So sorry you missed the point.
@@simonajugarih3620 I am not even going to read your comment. You knew what this video was. You didnt have to stay. There are plenty of videos on youtube that contain Lou Gramm. Heck, he has even gone back to touring. Feel free to go watch his videos or see him live. Put your energy elsewhere. It’s not needed here.
Great performance in this song, really hard to sound as Lou gramm, good for Kelly, they’re no more kids
