I love that there are Kailh Box White keyswitches, but there are some issues.
As usual, all keyboards are already opened and tested for a period of time, and then repacked for the unboxing.

Another budget 60%, that's a bit of a mixed bag. I'm keen to hear what you think about the how the secondary functions work.
I'm currently trying my best to get through a long queue of videos, so there will probably be more frequent uploads.
You should have a look at the Royal Kludge 60%. Horrible name, but it's a 60% with a better function system, option to have real cherry switches for less than $60 US. Only downside is that I have not seen it with RGB.
TaeKeyboards could this work with Xbox because it is keyboard and mouse compatible
Does it work with ps4?
theres a work around with the function key i found online, i used the auto hotkey software to remap the function key to caps lock and it works like any other 60% keyboard. The only thing i didnt like on the keyboard was that it had a lot of ping reverb

Well that's funny , i just bought this keyboard today and as my first 60% i'm pleasantly surprised at the features it has for the price.
I've just ordered one, I had an ebay voucher and I only paid 23 pounds, I can't wait to try the box whites, what are your thoughts on it now you've had it for a while?
Isn't it annoying how cheap keyboards are worse than regular priced ones mostly because of the fonts used for the keycaps and some problems like this which could've been avoided for almost no cost to the company making them...

These switches aren't pleasantly smooth as they are a tactile switch I have a ck61 but I soldered a linear black switch it's one of the most smoothest switches that I have heard and felt
i've owned this keyboard for about 9 months now and i'm in love with it. i haven't came across any issues. i use it for gaming and i also love writing with this keyboard as it has a very satisfying feel. note to all the gamers, you might need to turn your microphone's volume if you're voicechatting with friends as i've had some of my friends complain. overall,i would definitely recommend it, it's probably the best keyboard you can get at this price.

They have a driver on their ebsite that you can download to remap keys. Personally it's my first real keyboard, so I have no frame of reference, but so far the tool has been helpful remapping keys to something more familiar

I happen to 100% agree with your thoughts on the second level usability. As an example I prefer fc660 layout and the tada68 so that should tell you everything you need to know about my thoughts on this board hahaha.
One of the best sounds i've ever heard
It was the terrible function control system on this keyboard that made me want to look into custom keyboards that could be modded with QMK. Now I can't go back.
It also made me fall in love with the Kailh Box White switches.
You've made the right move. Seems like most can't go back once they've tasted QMK.

You have to press and hold fn+number everytime you want to switch layout. The keyboard sucks.

Hey, just an idea. There are no videos explicitly showing how to build a 60% keyboard with rgb switches, i would love to see you do that. I understand you just have to solder it in the holes, but for example on the satan gh60 how do you program the lights. Thanks
The PCB has to specifically support RGB lighting. And unfortunately, there's not too many of those around.

because on kprepublic it says "\Underglow RGB PCB (supports LED installations for further customization) "
GH60 does not support RGB backlighting. RGB underglow lighting is not the same as RGB key backlighting (RGB keyswitches). So like with the XD84 which I just recently did a video on, you can see me install RGB underglow lighting, but the key lighting is limited to 1 colour.

For those concerned about this keyboard *NOT* having the *grave* ` and *tilde* ~ key, for you programmers and network/system admins out there use the "autohotkey" program and create a simple script like I did, bound the grave character to CTRL + Q and tilde to ALT + Q and add the scripts on windows startup like I did and you're golden. This keyboard is being shipped to me as I type this. "Autohotkey" works on note editors and even in games (tested it on Left4Dead) where I tried pulling up the console using the grave character.
Was thinking about getting this one tbh, but I decided to stick to a TKL layout. Was kinda expecting this review from you too, since it was a first budget mech with kailh box switches.
just got this and yes, it does have a software that lets you remap and change the colors how you want, got it for around 37$ which is unbeatable imo

@@Pexuwais because i've tried them, and the feeling is much much better. But if you want to type on this board it is a pain... the switches are great, but i miss dedicated arrows and things like that. you have to keep changing from one mode to another. But after a while, maybe you can adapt.

they sell outemu blues and reds now
i bought one from amazon saying it was red outemu switches without any options or anything, but in the end i got blue switches, kinda weird, didnt want to return it cuz i was too lazy, didnt replace it since there was no option, didnt want to rebuy it since they are sold out, might come back on amazon, u can check on banggood or all those websites ya know, anyways
back to the point, this keyboard was a software included, for the RGB and macros (i dont use the macro stuff but still) okay so theres a option called ''game master'' the one where its some random color and the rest are off, u can change it in thee software for every key a different color if u want, BUT for this mode the caps lock and windows key has no light, ima assume its a bug of this product but it doesnt matter too much imo, or i just have a defected product, but ya know, im just giving you guys information that no other ck61 review has said before
How would you make those stabilisers quieter and have less rattle, as these are clip ons and not cherry stabilisers.
thanks for showing which key was the APP key (two keys left of FN). this is my first mechanical keyboard since my old IBM keyboard way back when. great feel on the keys. took a little time to figure out how to set the light to solid blue. press FN+APP like 5 or 7 times (forget) then FN+CTRL to select color then FN+U or I to change brightness. probably my biggest gripe is that I have an old Logitech K400 wireless keyboard with a trackpad and its easy to use keyboard is significantly smaller than the CK61. i find it annoying the CK61 is larger yet more difficult to find keys on. of course the K400 keys are terrible to type on

there is a lighting customization, its kinda complicated for the combos, but theres also driver software for this keyboard to do that

my secondary functions don't even work for some reason, that's why I was trying to find a tutorial for it. I am left without the ability to use arrows until I fix this problem.

The more I think about it, I guess it isn't really a thing =/
TaeKeyboards Its a shame really if those companies could provide a feature so simple but so useful in terms of upgradability I think their 60% boards can stand out much more than the competition. I mistakenly buyed a Digital Alliance Mecasport once hoping to upgrade the case down the line just to be disappointed. Atm I'm using a contra ortholinear board with gateron clears and this board also lacks variety on compatible cases. Could you make a build using this keyboard and make a case for it with cad? There are some mid case models online but none of them looks as good as some people's builds with their own case design.
I like the sound of the Kailh's better than the MX Blues that I am using right now.
I like the Kailhs WAY better. I actually kinda hate the sound of blues, they sound too rattly and cheap to me.
MX Blues sound is like pressing legos

guys now u choose for blue and red switches I recommend the red ones because they are not as loud as the blue ones
If the stabs weren't so noisy and the caps were heftier, it'd be my choice since I like a plain back-lit 60% with BOX whites
Im still pretty sure this keyboard doesn't have the ` key. I own it and im still trying to figure out where it is. Kinda sucks cuz I need the ~ key to get to the home folder in terminal :/
u just save my life! I dont realize that detail about "~" key! Same as u, i use it a lot in terminal and when im programing! Besides the stupid FN system, i was thinking to buy it... but now, thanks to you, i just abandon this option... maybe in the future try to build my on 60% keyboard.. now i will go with a TKL.
This is a good keyboard for gaming and has really good stability and good response time with is really good really recommend it

There key layout is much better than usual, you can use the fn key and the arrow keys with one hand. It's the exact same way i have mine layed out on my anne pro.

I just ordered one of these for 23 pounds!! I can't wait to try the box whites...I've just returned a magic force 68 with cherry blues because they were so stiff and scratchy. This keyboard looks really nice, is it well built?

@@samfizzer3933 I have this board. Only problem for me is the missing "`" and "~" key. Also the number row switching is ugly but I'm used to it.
My default setup is fn+3 so I use the right alt row as arrow keys then use fn+up(/,?) to put "/" and fn+shift+up(/,?) to put "?". Painted the case with metallic finish and bought PBT keycaps. I love it especially the box white sound and weight.

Anne Pro 2 either gateron reds or kailh box reds, gateron reds are smooth while the kailh box reds are not as smooth as the gateron but it is still smooth and it is also water and dust resistant.

Hey man, I didn't even know it was possible to dissemble the stabilizers while on the board and at 7:19 you have taken the stabs apart. Is this something that is possible on all boards?What kind of stabilizers are these actually?

Just bought it as a secondary keyboard only for gaming because of its compact size (much more place for a mouse which is a godsend for a low sens gamer). Secondary functions doesn't bother me that much, because ma daily driver is a 100% board with kailh browns.

What budget keyboard would you recommend for the maximum price of around 55 USD? I was going to buy the ck104 but your review was kinda negative about it.

I bought the keyboard juat to mod it i put novelkey creams in it and lubed them and it sounds way better and I out different keycaps on it

Cool but wish it was white, eh what ever I've made a custom white anyways so I'll just spray paint it let it dry and there but it might take 5 or 6 days but It might be worth it maybe I'll lube the switches too
I have the same keyboard but it comes with Outemu red switches too, happy about that because i cannot stand the sound of super loud clicky switches xD
ok pretty much the use of fn+4 for the arrows in wsad activation is the right way to do , do you expect to use those arrow keys while pressing all the time the fn button? not a smart option...
