“velvet” formulas aren’t really my favorite, but if they’re less dry than the ultra blotted lips then maybe i’ll try them out. the attempt to be sheer seems very inconsistent across the collection as a whole.
I'm assuming these are a bit like the ones from the Disney collection last fall? The masquerade collection, and I actually really liked those lip products. They are lightweight and easy to wear, and even some of the deeper colors look very nice on my lips. It does give a blotted-look, but I've found I quite prefer that look on my lips. They haven't felt very drying on me personally, and remind me a bit of the baremineral's Gen nude matte liquid lipsticks, which feel quite velvety but does wear off more quickly than a true matte liquid lip.
I believe they are the same formula, also the same as the Chinese New Year ones. I like them too...BUT the darker ones really feather on me after a bit.
It is well known that they are made by the same manufacturer... but manufacturers create hundreds of unique formulas that are brand exclusive so I wouldn't worry about the products being the same :)

I really like this forumla, especially the ones from the Disney Masquerade collection. I did get some from this launch and one of them hasn't worn the best, but it's also not the worst thing I've ever tried. I much prefer these to the Ultra Blotted, those look horrible on me.
I don't want to burst your bubble but I watched Allie Gaines review the glosses and she said they were sticky..you know how some glosses do that thing when you talk and it makes your lips stick together...yeah, they did that.. Just a thought..

I picked up the What the Fluff bundle (with Southbound and Hermosa). I like the formula and it stays put. Its not completely matte or drying but its still there after a meal which is great. However, I was wondering why they smell odd. They don't look or feel as if they are defective. Its just an unusual scent.. maybe its the new velvet formula..
I think they are supposed to basically be a bottled version of the blur lux lipsticks so they aren't full pigmentation but rater have a bit of a softer look

Well I lasted like a whole five days before I ordered Lofty Goals because I just fully used up two lipsticks. Thankfully, it doesn't do that butthole lip thing, and it looks nice on my skin color! A but lighter than expected though!
I have a few of these - not from this collection, from the Disney collection they did. If you like matte looking lips that don't dry your lips down and aren't a fan of intensely pigmented colours, I would definitely recommend them. The formula is really nice and if the 'blotted' lip look is your style then they are really good. They can also be built up for a more intense colour but it will still be much softer than a matte liquid lip. I hope this helps!!
They look pretty standard sized, maybe a tad longer. The packaging is a lot shorter and wider than the average lip product so it might make the want look larger in comparison :)

I LOVE THESE... I DO WISH THEY WOULD HAVE COME OUT WITH A FEW COOLER TONED PINKS,/MAUVES. Majority of these were warmer undertone.

Same sort of effect but those are more sheer and don't have that silicon slip feel, they dry more matte :)

They have a matte effect on the lips so they don't really perform like a gloss :)
