This song was my wife's favorite song she passed away 3 years ago with cancer this song made me realize that some people know God and some people have a relationship with God my wife wanted everybody to have a relationship with God not just know him what a beautiful song I can't listen to it without crying touches my soul

ElJibaroBravo I couldn’t agree more. We just watched American Gospel (it is here on UA-cam) and it showed a stark difference between what “churches” preach, and what God’s word says. It’s an excellent documentary, and I highly recommend it.

It seems to me that if watching her distracts you from your own worship, perhaps you shouldn't watch. I understand what you mean, when I watch the worship leaders I often get distracted, but it is not their job to keep my heart on task- it is mine. So, often I have to close my eyes and remember why I'm singing and Who I'm singing to.

Worship leaders should be aware of the congregation to see if they are engaged. That is part of leading. If they aren't and you are off in your "zone", you are doing a disservice to them and not fulfilling your role as leader. In this case, she is also looking down at the monitor for lyric prompts as well.

It's normal on the video edition! This often happens when they deal with independent tracks audio and video. But it's generally with drummers.

Is it me or are the singers off tempo with the instruments?
Please hear this with the understanding that I am near to weeping. I truly appreciate the biblical lyrics and sweet melody of this song, but this vocalist keeps looking at the audience while singing to God the Father. I find it troubling and when she looks out, it makes me think of myself, instead of God. It's a common problem in worship leaders today. Maybe it doesn't bother anyone else, but the visual can easily overwhelm the verbal and musical, ask anyone in film or theater.
davisleah I do understand your point of you. It is also possible to over evaluate it as well.
