this simple, humble, modest film and its success reflect the image of Bob Marley. The babylonian establishment (critics) reject it but the people embrace it. The stone that the builders refuse...
It would’ve been ideal if they used Jamaican actors but these people did such a beautiful sympathetic job. It’s not a documentary, it’s a snapshot of the making of an iconic album and a little window into the machinations of that time. The way they treated his relationship with his father was phenomenal. I’m glad that they did not dwell on how much of a gyalist he was. Bob was a genius and an icon, Rita is a queen 👸🏿 Plus Big up Peter Tosh another icon🔥
There is no Jamaican professionally trained actor at the moment who has 1% resemblance to Bob Marley. I'm sure they would've used a Jamaican born actor if he ticked all the boxes for the role. Bob's wife and his family loved it. That's all that matters. I'm happy one of my childhood heroes I grew up listening to back home in Jamaica is being honored
Kingsley Ben-Adir has really worked hard to sell this movie. I can't wait to see it.
2 very conscious actors who did us proud in the Marley film..🇯🇲🇯🇲👍👍
Great acting. It was magnificent!!!!
Great movie. Great actors

My God yes, I think they both were spot on. They both embodied able and Rita. I was really flooded by their performance of Bob and Rita.❤❤❤❤

Lashana is British-Jamaican and Kingsley is British Caribbean (Trinidadian). They are both amazing at acting and did an amazing job.
It was their job to do. The kids did well.
