I’m hyped for this. I was running the game for a couple months back when pc started and recently picked it up again so I’m excited to see what the “meta” has become
I find this video both fascinating and demoralizing at the same time. On the one hand, I really like how the community came together around this one game by creating great resources and analyzing every detail they can find. On the other hand, this doesn't motivate me to ever nuzlocke this game. If it is required to have a cheat-sheet and damage calculator around for every battle, use an external resource to check my pokemons stats, and know how the AI works to be able to reliably beat the game, then it just isn't for me.
I've been following you and Buhrito for a while and it's so sad that we can only see your E4. I know it's impossible for technical reasons to have daily content like PC, that's why I feel this video is a gift. Thank you for your insight and time. EK community is amazing.
Yes, Mudkip is very cute. That's why you should choose it. Y'know, Karen said that it was not about what pokemon is the strongest, but rather your favorite. Mudkip is both the strongest and cutest pokemon out there. Really though, loving how your content has really ramped itself up this past month. Your channel is popping off and that shows it. I don't know how to thank you enough, I started EK but kept getting owned by roxanne or brawly and then quit, went to like RR and some other enhancement hacks, but they just weren't as hard. With this I'll finally be able to complete EK
I just lost my first run after my sunflora swept watson by dodging 10 full paras in a row (no va lanturn either) to a slow trickle of blunders and crits in the grunt gauntlet until finally my best answer to Tabitha's arcanine was dig blaziken. Tabitha swapped to flygon the turn I dug, then quaked. With all of the resources available, it's challenging without being bullshit, mostly because I'm not getting suckered by a wobbuffet or choice band boom, so this is a thank you for making the guide that pushed me to start the game.

Clover is probably harder to nuzlocke than this game, especially with the post game where everything scales to your level. The only reason why it's not talked about more is because the heads of the nuzlocke community hate it for reasons unrelated to nuzlocking.
If your Gyarados is solid enough then you can get it at an HP where Flail kills but doesn't bait Shadow Sneak... you still don't do this anyways though because it has Poison Point

Glad to hear it! Starting off with just minor victories and working your way up is great. Do some vanilla games or easier rom hacks like fire red omega or sacred gold and work your way into calcing and planning with documentation
I'm not sure if this was a mistake, if I fucked something up, or if there was an update of some sort, but the part at Slateport where you're fighting the Aqua grunts you say to have a flail Gyara kill Shellder, Staryu, Croconaw, and Grimer, but Grimer has Shadow Sneak and just killed my Gyarados. Thought I'd mention it in case it was a mistake on your part and someone else reads this.

maybe someone is crazy enough to attempt it, but it really isn't realistically possible to nuzlocke blue kaizo without items, the ai always knows what you're using and has infinite pps and healing items. There might be a theoretical way to do it, but it wouldn't he realistic
It's more difficult because blue kaizo is just not feasible without healing items for how the game mechanics work, and healing items are so broken that even an almost impossibile challenge like hardcore nuzlocking blue kaizo becomes easier (not easy, just less exctruciatingly difficult), while emerald kaizo is playable, just extremely difficult
Was I supposed to patch over an existing EK ROM (ie an Emerald ROM patched to EK) for that extra patch with the QoL stuff, or patch over a regular Emerald ROM? I did the latter and things don't seem right My Treecko only has Quick Attack, that seems normal, but there's no extra patch of grass in Oldale Town, nor the pond in Littleroot Town

No its not standard, just something people do in emerald kaizo because the early game is so ridiculously tough and it makes it so you don't need absolutely perfect encounters to attempt those first two gyms. Just cuts down on tedious early game resets due to poor encounters. Gyms 3 and onwards are level capped as usual. But that said a nuzlocke is a self imposed challenge, the rules can be whatever you want them to be to have the most fun with the game.

Slowbro has a 50/50 chance of having either Shell Armor or Own Tempo as its ability. So if you try to confuse it and it goes through, then you have a Shell Armor Slowbro which is pretty much mandatory for the E4

There was a glitch in the original patch that the charmander line gave special attack evs

Not sure if this helps, but I used a liligant with sleep powder and quiver dance to sweep Watson
Use any fire or flying type that can withstand leafstorm from mr mow and pick mudkip, you are pretty fine.
