धर्मेंद्र भई बहुत अच्छा लगा HAU और flecher जी के बारे में सुन कर। मैं हिसार में पला बढ़ा हूँ और मेरे papa HAU में कार्यरत थे। flecher जी के बारे में बचपन में बहुत कुछ सुना करते थे। आप ने और भी बाते बताई उनके बारे में। धन्यवाद। HAU campus सबसे सुंदर campuses में से हैं और मनमोहक है। हरियाणा flecher जी की इस देन को हमेशा याद रखेगा।

Dharmender ji old was gold. Due to such thinking and honest people, Haryana state was on top in development.
Mr. Fletcher had not resigned. He completed his four years term on 2.2.74.

Very well explained but for your information it is added that Hisar Campus was fully developed with all departments. It was not of 2-3 departments. I remained continuously in HAU from July,1965 to May, 2010. I can supplement you any more information you need. Feel proud of HAU.
Dharmender.Your re- discovery about late A.L.Fletcher is praiseworthy.Fire brand Bureaucrat(ICS) That was the aura & dignity personified.As repeated by me earlier ,gone are those politicians,who rebuilt left over part of Punjab in 1966 on bifurcation viz.Haryana in a progressive State .Credit goes to his leadership who spotted such talents .I knew him personally.His qualities of head&bravado are so unmatched so far by another Chief

Now the statue of AL fletcher has been removed from there and statue of our 7th prime minister Chaudhary Charan Singh statue has been placed there...after watching this video i think Chaudhary Charan Singh's statue could be placed at any other place in the university

A,L, फ्लेचर साहब एक महान आत्मा थे जिन्होंने हरियाणा का नाम कृषि विद्वध्यालय हिसार के पहले कुलपति अपने अंतिम समय तक जो काम किए कमाल है,धर्मंडर लाडले अच्छा किया इस विषय पर काम किया और बंसी लाल जी भी कमाल के आदमी थे जो पहचान कर हरियाणा के लिए काम करते रहे जो एक रिकॉर्ड रहा जो आज उस हिसार का नाम कृषि के विषय में कितने आदमी पड़े और विकास किया कमाल का काम किया पहले रुड़की से पड़ कर आते थे इस का श्रय उन को जाता हैं कोई लोटादे वो बीते दिन।

Really, I liked your report about A.L.Fletcher the fisrt Vice Chancellor and founder of H.A
U. so deeply as I couldn't so much about him, because I had been there as student for five years. Muximum informations had been known about Fletcher

Full fledged College of Veterinary College was already developed till then from Hisar camp campus of Lahore Veterinary College.
Fletcher Sir did a very commendable job.

ALFletcher(ICS) was a very strict administrator. I studied in HAU HISSAR 1973_74 in the college of Veterinary Sciences.AL Fletcher was then the V C of HAU Hissar.Ch. Bansi Lal ji recognized his ability and appointed him as VC HAU Hissar.Perhaps, as i remember Sh. AL Fletchure was the retired Chief Secty. Punjab. No body could stand and explain before him.

Regional campus/centre of PAU Ludhiana was in Hisar till the formation of HAU & it had 04 colleges (COVS, COA, COBS & COHS) when it was made as a full fledged campus of Haryana Agricultural University on 02 Feb 1970 .
HE WAS SDM IN PALMPUR HIMACHAL IN 1952 AND WAS CAUGHT 1971 IN GANGANAGAR RAJSTHAN WITH WARS DOCUMNTS HE WAS BATCHMATE OF MS RANDHAWA PANJAB AGRICULTURE UNIVERSITY. LUDHIANA.
यह सत्य है कि हरियाणा के विकास पुरुष बंसीलाल के सपने को फ्लैचर साहब ने मूर्तिमान किया था ।
उनका अपना रुतबा और दृष्टिकोण था ।
उनके जीवन से काफी किस्से और किंवदंतियाँ भी जुड़ी हुई हैं ।

No he had to resign and was residing in a friend house as he donated his farm to HAU

AL Fletcher retired in 1974 as VC HAU Hisar & thereafter he died. He didn't die when he was VC
