- I'm on my hunt for the best fish and chips, and today it has brought me to the Seaway Kiosk at The Spit Main Beach. To be honest I didn't know this place even existed, but I'm glad I found it, today I got the Snapper and chips, let's see how it was and check out some of the scenery around here :)

Greggo was temporarily transported to Bonnie Doon, smelling 2 stroke with this meal. Ah, the serenity Greggo,- the serenity.
Once a week I sit at home on my couch and watch a bloke on UA-cam eat fish n chips.
Well Greggy, for $19.00, it would want to be fresh Snapper! & they gave your own chicken salt shaker, what more could you want?

It's about time one of these shops served you some tartar sauce with your fish.
Pretty simple stuff: pay a little bit extra and you can have a wonderful experience. Pay $8.00 for some old hoke and you will get the odd needle in a haystack but mostly you will just get hay. It really is quite simple

Wrapped, oven baked Snapper is beautiful also. It brings out even more tenderness and flavour of this quality fish.

Man, that looked awesome! I know that $19 is more than Greg likes to pay for anything, but when converted to US dollars, that's about average even for crappy fish and chips here. 🐟🍟

Am glad you tried some decent fish that really did look great basa only in crumb dory cod just basic fish. Now you come to reef fish great texture and flavour

Hi Greg Could not agree more, since moving to Surfers from Sydney I began my search for some decent Fish and chips, Its like the search for THE Golden Boomerang but since I found the SEAWAY Kiosk a couple of years ago I am a regular, you dont need to pay $19, around $14 usually gets you some good fish and chips.besides the good food , this place is civilized , you can eat inside undisturbed by marauding seagulls , use real Knives and forks also a table with free sauce,vinegar etc.then go for a walk around the beautiful Spit , Full Marks for this one Greg. Hey Greg I still havent found a decent fair dinkum MEAT PIE yet ,where are they? What about a series on Meat pies?
Might be pricey but a lot of the price is in the location and atmosphere located on the beach. But from the video and your description it looked really great and worth the price for excellent food and service. And like you mentioned they have many other items to offer as well. Sorry I am on the other side of the world though so not likely to be going there any time soon. But I enjoy seeing what is available elsewhere out of my own little world.

You should try fish & chips at Noosa called Red Emperor. Hence the name the best fish there is the Red Emperor and you should definitely try it. This is by far my favourite fish & chip place.😋

Greg i know the logistics to getting to this part of the coast from Brisbane on a weekday school day i want try this fish n chips out for $19 usually this would coast $23 at the local Surf club but i think this one its on a winner. Its all about the batter used thx Greg for taste testing.

Looks good Grego. You'll have to visit every fish and chip shop you've been to and get the battered snapper and do a new rating. Just be careful some of the owners don't recognise you and poison your food though.
