I tried this Violin on my visit to the Vettori family workshop in April 2022. It is a beautiful copy of the Guarneri del Gesu 1735 and the sound was good. It had a very dark and deep sound on the G-string and holding it and playing it was immediately easy and satisfying. If I could have afforded the violin, it would have been hard to resist bying it!👍👌
Thanks Nickie!!! Yes indeed it is a Dario Vettori violin! But copied while looking at the original Guarneri del Gesu’ D’Egville which was on my workbench for couple of days!!!! Now my violin is happily owned by my dear friend in Japan!
