Maybe Ranboo did actually go through the prison like normal, but he started to hallucinate when he got to Dream, like he triggered a panic attack or something. That would explain why Sam had Ranboo's signed forms.

At 12:10 -12:24 the books he looks at are the same ones that dream had when ranboo last visited him, he obviously physically visited him bc how would be have a book that dream wrote inside prison and how would sam have his signature for the other things
His hallucination would've had to start prior to seeing Dream because Sam makes people sign them contracts before getting to Dreams cell

i have a theory that Ranboo did visit Dream in prison in his blackout state and the one visit that we saw was actually dream of him visiting Dream, it was a glimpse of his memories that were hidden in the back of his mind and it was more warped and less realistic because it wasn't a full memory of it and Ranboo's mind tried to make sense of it all and so his mind made somethings up and thats why the dream was so warped and stuff.

Ironically with the content tones and potential with all of the previous visits, that creeper explosion made this the most hilarious visit and he didn’t even make it past reception.
my theory is when dream said "I'm not even real" Ranboo blacked out or dream knocked him out and
Ranboo woke up in the main prison cell and then asked Awesamdude to leave the cell but dream was still in the cell. But when Ranboo got out of the prison and got his stuff back, he remembered non of the event happened.
But hey thats just A theory! A GAME THEORY!

Okay, I have a bit of an outlandish theory, but please bear with me. I think Ranboo might be schizophrenic and have Disassociative Identity Disorder. These two things together would explain why he's done so many things that he himself wouldn't do and why he can't remember any of it. Dream likely could have caught wind of this and have taken advantage to use ranboos second personality against him.
