  • A central Minnesota city wants to make a big change and it wants the state to help pay for it. St. Cloud is asking for $100 million to add a riverwalk downtown and make it more enjoyable to get around on foot. WCCO's Jason Rantala gives us a sneak peek at the plan.

    The last time I went up to St Cloud I couldn't wait to get the hell out of there; and that is my home town.
    I don't understand this fixation they have on getting people to live DOWNTOWN.
    They built a condominium there several years ago, and haven't been able to fill it with residents. Nobody WANTS to live in the downtown area. It has never held that kind of attraction for high wage earners. For college students, yeah.
