If you mean the GPU, it is already overclocked and reaches frequencies equal to a stock RX 580 (1340 Mhz for the core, 2000 Mhz for the memory), while the Xeon 1270 v3, exactly like the i7 4790, is not overclockable as it does not have the multiplier unlocked like the k versions (i7 4770k, i7 4790k etc..)
@@klausschneider2520 The RX 580 2048SP comes with a clock of 1284 Mhz on the core clock and 1750 Mhz on the Vram, i can tell you that there is a substantial increase in performance with overclocking compared to the stock frequencies , but I have not done a test or a video to quantify how much it is this increase in performance and in the video you can still see the FPS it reaches in the games I tried with the higher frequencies. However, there are various videos about it here on UA-cam and I can tell you that with overclocking you gain from 6 to 15 FPS more depending on the game.
Hey man. I'm thinking of upgrading my processor from i5 4670 to either E3 1241v3 or E3 1270v3. I have the same Sapphire RX 580 2048SP Pulse Edition card along with 16GB 1600Mhz RAM. This i5 is too weak for CPU intensive games likes BF1, BFV, CoD MW 2019 and so on. Would it be worth to upgrade my processor for this card? Thanks.
@@erod7022 Yeah bro, it definitely will be a worthy upgrade from my i5 I think. My processor is mostly maxed out in games and the frametime graph is almost never linear. Too much frame spikes in CPU intensive games (which I mostly play). Do you think 1270v3 would be good for this GPU? Not to overkill it, you know.
@@gamitrix4686 Nah I think it won't overclock your cpu, Reply to me though after you tried cause im also wanting to try this build that's why im doing a little research hehe
@gamitrix4686 I would say yes. On this build i had an Intel Core i5 4430s and after getting the RX 580 2048 SP (which is basically an RX 570) from AliExpress, i immediately noticed problems related to the bottleneck and this is a problem of all the i5s available on the Haswell platform (even the most powerful i5 4690k). The only CPUs of the Haswell platform that are still usable are the i7s and specifically the Xeon 1270 v3 is equivalent to the i7 4790, which handles the RX 570. However, i also suggest you to add 8 or 16 GB of RAM, because 16 GB is a bit small now for gaming.
Asus H81M-K? If yes, looking at the compatibility table on the Asus website, your motherboard is compatible with the Xeon E3-1270 v3, so yes, it can be done. You should however check if your motherboard BIOS is updated to the latest version (3604) or if it currently has a Xeon compatible BIOS version (the site says version 0304).
@@DemonSoul1222The RX 580 2048 SP it's basically an RX 570, so if you have an RX 580 and the 1270 v3, maybe the problem is the RAM...12 GB aren't enough for gaming in 2023 (minimum are 16 Gb, but 24 GB of RAM and above is recommended, preferably 32 GB of RAM in symmetrical dual channel mode, 2x16 Gb). However I suggest to use the latest driver and try with FSR on.
@@ndgaming3676 I think your goal is 60 FPS on GTA V, the RX 560 XT 8 Gb is certainly less powerful than the RX 580 2048 SP 8 Gb (despite costing almost the same on AliExpress), but looking at videos online, at the right settings, it reaches 60 FPS and i don't think that, in the case of GTA V, the problem is the i5 4690k which is not able to handle it, most likely you don't reach 60 FPS due to the game settings. Things like grass quality, MXAA and extended draw distance reduce fps.
