- Car Photography tips on how to shoot at cars events, I have also shot a cool video at 120 FPS slow motion using Canon 1DX Mark II.
The timing was bad to shoot cars, it was about Mid day!

Have you tried using the darken blend mode? It would give you a similar result to what you masked in automatically. You can always use a layer mask with it aswell.
I thought the same thing. You would automatically get the darker (preferred) pixels.

Hey Steven, usually in car gathering, owners realize that photographers will be taking photos of their cars. I never had to make them sign release forms but you can always ask for their permission verbally. Unless off course you're going to commercially use the photo.

Hi Moe, if your looking for a vid camera then try the Canon 6dII full frame flip out screen and lighter than the 1dx. My tip would be the same as yours DON'T as you said make contacts and shoot the car later at a better lo-cal.
paul trunfull I enjoyed using the original 6D and I had it in mind but I needed a camera that shoots beautiful 120fps ... it's indeed lighter and the flipout screen is great but for this it can be a second backup camera which is good for vlogging. Well said on the car shows tip 👌🏽

Hey Moe, what do you mean by canon colors vs sony colors? Shouldn't these be irrelevant as you can choose your colors in post?
Paolo A you could perhaps but it will take you way too long to figure out how to fix it - the colour science is just different each colour (red green and blue) are presented differently.. it's a big debate,here is a link to an article that explains it www.eoshd.com/2015/11/sony-vs-canon-colour-science-does-this-explain-the-difference/
