El Bandido POV at Western Playland (Sunland Park, NM)

On August 24, 1974, El Bandido opened at the original Western Playland location in El Paso, Texas. It is one of the many Z64 Zyklon models manufactured by Pinfari. This is actually my first ever Pinfari coaster, and I thought it was an enjoyable ride, contrary to what most people expect from a Pinfari. In 2005, the ride closed with the rest of the park, and unlike a lot of the rides there, it was spared and relocated to the new Western Playland location in Sunland Park, New Mexico, where it continues to operate.

I was there yesterday in El Paso (12/28/23). stayed @ Holiday Inn Sunland Park..Passed by the park but it was closed. 😢 Gonna try and visit again soon..Maybe in the summer.
