I just sold my 2 story, 4 br house in Hemet just under 2400sf w/pool. It was just too big for 3 people. I’m looking to downsize and really prefer to move closer to work. Things I hate about new builds are solar and the community mail boxes that always, ALWAYS get broken into. Also it’s scary how fast new homes are being built and how they are being built. I saw one video where the exterior walls are made with this thin very thin material instead of plywood. I will be checking out all my options though. I had solar and my final edison bill was $1500. There is a yearly edison bill even when you have solar, so that’s why I don’t care for solar.
Was your house a new build with the solar? There are some shady solar companies out there that purposely undersize systems so that you need to go back to them for expansions. I have some really good solar contacts, who are reputable and honest guys!
@@LivingSomewhereInSoCal no it wasn’t, the solar was put in 2014. And there was a lot of panels. It was city solar but then Tesla bought them out.

We all have solar now , but do you have contract with the solar company? My family we all have solar and we all happy with it , save a lot of money , I never hear people pay $1500 like your bill ?
@@phuongvo3051 yes that bill is apart from the monthly solar. I guess it’s like an offset from Edison. The first few years, it wasn’t so high (like in the $300’s) and then I guess with inflation, it got really high. I have a co worker, who bought a new house a few years back and claimed his bill was zero, but I found it hard to believe. Hope its true if a do end up buying a new build.
First, I hope all went well with your surgery and that you're feeling alright and comfortable. May your recovery go fast so you can get back home to your family and your own bed. Second, I don't want to do business with any builder that's not open to allowing a realtor to show what that builder has to offer. it makes me think that they're hiding something. Rest up, Mike. When you're up to doing more videos, I hope you're planning to show more 3,000+ sq. ft. homes and NextGen homes.
