It is really sad to see the lack of an audience. However, I suppose there are some plus points - the band get exposure on the BBC and the chance to practice on a nice big open air stage that perhaps they wouldn't otherwise get. And we wouldn't have got these wonderful tracks.......
Almost all the bands on Introducers Stage played to an almost empty field. It must be soul destroying. Something needs to be done by BBC. Our Girl were great.
Kevin Young they're still kind of new and unheard though. its to be expected. I personally wouldn't call it soul crushing. They got picked to perform on a bbc stage regardless of how many people were watching. plus its great experience.
even big moon didnt look to be that busy. guess its just full of locals who got free tickets to katy perry. by contrast, the dot2dot festival was well supported in 3 cities this weekend.
Kevin Young I don't really get the bbc intro stage at the big weekender like you guys say everyone just gets free tickets and sticks to the tent or main stage why bother having the intro stage with 10 people there it's a little demoralising for the bands other than life which it was busy for with them being from hull. Why don't they relocate the intro stage closer to main stage?
