Hey Kuji, could you do a video breakdown (or a text reply) on exactly what you did to get your wheel on a plane? I see you did a lot of disassembly, but I'm wondering about batteries, checked luggage vs. carry-on, the airline you chose, etc. I've talked with a dozen airline reps in the US so far and all of them have very specifically said they don't allow "self-balancing vehicles" in carry-on or checked (even if TSA guidelines around batteries are followed). I think air travel is a big piece of the puzzle to grow this community and do more events like the France games, so this info would be really appreciated.

I'm trying to figure out my travel between Iceland the US (I live in both countries) and it's near impossible to get my 18XL shipped even with the batteries out. Well, i think its gonna be hard without at least two sets of batteries. From my experience and others, if you disassemble it so that the motor and frame are separated, its fine. Its just engineering samples at that point.
Dude sick video! I got so hype watching this, I'll definitely be there next year. I've been experimenting with the idea of air-180's and I saw a guy throw one in this video for the first time ever... Do you know any more about how feasible this is? I broke my old ass Airwheel x8 trying to do this and have been too afraid to try it on my MCM5, my understanding has been that the motor would tweak out because of the change in direction while being air borne. It appears however that it's doable! Thoughts?
I wouldnt do it on your Airwheel x8 because its not very torquey. When you land, you could easily over power it. As for the wheel tweaking out because its in the air... youre not going to be in the air long enough for that to matter.
Hi, I plan to move abroad ( USA ) but as you know it's impossible to fly with our wheels. How did you do ? Did you send separatly the batteries? Thanks
