that old trowel handle made me laugh ,had one in the bag for years for the very same job ,like everything went missing , always interesting the stuff some blokes carry and instead of chucking they find a use for it, most corner blocks were a bit of 2x2 from the skip

How does it working doing an extension on Daywork? Do you just tell the customer what you charge for the day and hope they’ll agree to pay you for however long it takes?
Of course, they have no choice.You dont take the piss though you turn up everyday and do a good days work.Its not like site work where you just pump in the meterage.On extensions you will be doing all sorts of extras, waiting for scaffs, waiting for chippys for first floor joists, we normally do it ourselves as we are there .
If cavity-wall insulation is to be used , it can ONLY be installed from the VERY START of construction of the cavity-walls and there SHOULD be a LARGE air space gap in-between the face of the insulation and the OUTER WALL inside the cavity ; this includes an air space gap in between the face of the insulation and the cavity-wall-tie drip points which are in the centre of the cavity. Ask N.V.Q. BRICKWORK teachers for PROOF of this !
Correct with partial fill insulation but we are using full fill insulation which is called that for a reason. We work to manufacturers guidelines alongside Building Control.I wouldnt dream of asking an NVQ Tutor anything as most are limited in there knowledge.
@@bricklayersworldwithandy6277 You must not bridge the cavity wall with insulation, or moisture will transmit from the damp outer wall through the touching bridging insulation into the inner walls !

Got to 37 and thought can't do this the rest of my life. Looked at him 51 four knee operations full of sciatica. Not for me I need to earn a good wage not ruining my body

Posh ones were made from a piece of hardwood bannister rail which were actually useless as to heavy.
