True but there's no good alternative for the UK as not even Reform will commit to removing all the illegals, other foreign dependents and foreign criminals
Of course they will, no government goes up in popularity once they are in power. People want the government to give them the fantasyland that many live in and when they doesn't happen people turn on them. If Reform got into power their supporters will turn on them once they realise they aren't going to get anything that is being promised. Food security is absolutely vital for this nation, especially with a growing population (another issue that's been badly mismanaged). Farmers shouldn't be punished with punitive taxation like this. Neither should we be taking valuable agricultural land out of production, for things such as solar farms. We need to support British farmers.
@@paulchambers6537 I am actually not no, never have been. Regardless of my voting history it doesn't make my original question any less valid. People claim to support farmers but only if it doesn't have to cost them anything.
Good luck to this farmer and his family. The government plan sucks. We need our family farms, they do a sterling job feeding this nation. Thankyou Nigel for highlighting, please keep up the pressure.
Apart from root vegetables, dairy and meat products, there isn’t much that the British farmer can offer. The few fruits and veggies that you can grow in the UK are by default more expensive than foreign produce. Meat from Poland is cheaper than UK meat.
It is extremely easy to promise things when you don't actually have to deliver anything.
And lose their deposits too.
How? Please can someone tell me how we get them out? Is it even possible?

Food security is absolutely vital for this nation, especially with a growing population (another issue that's been badly mismanaged). Farmers shouldn't be punished with punitive taxation like this. Neither should we be taking valuable agricultural land out of production, for things such as solar farms. We need to support British farmers.

Apart from root vegetables, dairy and meat products, there isn’t much that the British farmer can offer. The few fruits and veggies that you can grow in the UK are by default more expensive than foreign produce. Meat from Poland is cheaper than UK meat.
