Why is it always so rare to be able to use 2 breathing styles? Doesn’t Mitsuri technically know 2 as well? She learned flame breathing and created love breathing from it. Now, using 2 breathing styles like Tanjiro did in the red light district arc (and as some people are saying also the sword smith arc) is rare, since we have heard/seen no one else do it
I think the reason using 2 breathing styles is rare is simply because it could take a few years just to learn 1 breathing style, tanjiro is an exception as he had watched his father performing hinokami kagura (basically sun breathing as yoriichi taught him) since he was still a child (the time where memory can be stored in the brain very easily), meaning he already had memory of a breathing style before meeting urokudaki. And since all breathing style stem from sun breathing, tanjiro can simply use the water breathing he learnt to bring out sun breathing, hence double breathing style.
