    Watching this amazing process of creation, witnessing the love, skill patience and heart you instill in each and every doll that emerges from your hands, is almost mesmerizing! Now, sitting here with a cat on my knees, I feel energized, peaceful and grateful to have enjoyed a front-row seat in the process. You ask "Which doll speaks to you most loudly"? An almost impossible choice. But, in truth, nature and animal-loving Miss Ciara is truly closest to my heart. She reflects the longings of my soul perfectly. Grateful thanks, Fabs, for this glorious feast for the eyes and heart!

    I love all those sweet dolls. But the first time I saw little Miss Nieves I instantly fell in love with her. I always loved the tales by Hans Christian Andersen and she gave me so much of that fairy tales feeling (with a bit of melancholy I think? ).

      yes, she does have a very nostalgic feeling, I am glad it was noticeable to you as well.

    Hello Fabiola
    Congratulations! Watching your videos and homepage made me feel like starting to learn the art of doll making. Do you have any tutorial video teaching how to make the various curly hair wigs? The one of Little Ivy?
    Thank you.

      Thank you for your kind words Robin. Maybe in the future I will load the Patreon tutorials with their pdf pattern for individual purchasing. As of now, I think it is a much better deal to subscribe for $10 and watch 24 dressmaking tutorials all available that month to you. You can always cancel your membership at any time. But thank you so much for giving me something to think about.

    Hi there I have bought a couple of your patterns and your online face sculpting class. I’m really enjoy making dolls for my grand children so thank you.! One question about doing blonde dolls, though-it doesn’t seem like the Dolly Moe yarn matches well enough to do the method that you described in your Hansel and Gretel video. Is there any other ways that you do hair?

    • @Figandme
      @Figandme  Рік тому

      Hi Melanie, thank you so much for your support and for taking the class. I love to hear you enjoy making dolls for your little ones 🤓 I'm unsure as to what you mean by DollyMo not matching the method of the Hansel & Gretel videos though? If you were to brush the hair, it will pull some mohair out.
      The technique I use to get very full heads of Mohair is detailed both in the Baby Fig doll pattern, the Little Fig doll pattern and the Little Penny doll pattern. So if you have any of those three, please read the instructions carefully.

    • @melanieklarofficial
      @melanieklarofficial Рік тому

      @@Figandme The blonde yarn is darker than the hair and so it shows the rows of weft sewn in between. I also have the brown hair and it doesn’t show because the color match is exact. Where do you get the wefts and yarn for blondes?

    • @Figandme
      @Figandme  Рік тому +1

      @@melanieklarofficial Oh I see, the method of sewing wefts it's not what I teach in the Hansel and Gretel series so that's why I was confused. Yes, you have to be very good at matching the colours, one way is to buy them from the same seller so that person can give you the best match. They won't always be the same colour but you just try to get as close as possible, unless you dye everything yourself for which you will need undyed weft and undyed yarn. One way to minimize seeing the rows is to sew them as close as possible.

    Hi I’ve purchased a doll from Etsy and she is 24”. I need to purchase new shoes for her. I’m not sure what sized shoes to get. How do I go about finding the right sized shoes?

    • @Figandme
      @Figandme  11 місяців тому

      Measure the length of her feet and look for shoes of that length...then once you find some, make sure they will fit over the foot by reading the listing for the shoes overall measurements.
